Difficulty of the walk:
Please be aware that the guided walk is designed to preserve the rainforest’s pristine condition, as it is part of the Westland National Park. This means there are some roots along the track and a few large steps at the beginning.
The skipper and tour guides accompany the group on the track and are available to assist during the walk. There are numerous stops to discuss the rainforest and conservation efforts.
A few handlines and walking poles are available if needed.
The track is 400 meters long and is often enjoyed one way, with the skipper picking you up at the end.
