In 1679, Vauban arrives in Freiburg to commence the fortification project. Centuries later, Vauban’s old granister (backpack) is discovered, filled with numerous locked boxes and bags, along with a book containing his records from that era. These records might hold the key to unlocking the secrets – it appears Vauban’s work extended beyond just building a fortress here…
