Your adventure officially starts at 9am when you check in at the Rottnest Fast Ferries office, before departing Hillarys Boat Harbour at 10am for a 45-minute journey to Rottnest Island.

• Rottnest Island Settlement Train Station - Upon reaching Rottnest Island, head to the Rottnest Island Settlement Railway Station (highlighted on a map provided at check-in) to embark on your Grand Island Tour with a historic train ride to Oliver Hill on the Captain Hussey train. Relax and enjoy this unique railway experience while taking in the views.
• Oliver Hill Battery - Upon arrival at Oliver Hill, explore the WWII Guns and Tunnels with a guided tour (please note there are over 240 steps on this one-hour tour, making it unsuitable for those with mobility issues. Children cannot be carried for safety reasons). Discover the military history of Oliver Hill and learn about Rottnest Island’s role in defending the port of Fremantle during WWII. Then, enjoy a light picnic lunch.
• Wadjemup Lighthouse - After lunch, board an air-conditioned coach to further explore the island. Enjoy informative commentary on Rottnest’s unique history, environment, heritage, and wildlife while appreciating the island’s beauty by road. Make stops at Wadjemup Lighthouse, Jeannie’s Lookout, and Mabel Cove during this 2-hour bus tour.
• Rottnest Island - After your tour, you’ll have some free time to explore Rottnest’s main settlement area and visit the local shops before catching the ferry back to Hillarys Boat Harbour and, if needed, taking the courtesy coach back to your Perth accommodation.

• Please note - The Oliver Hill Guns and Tunnels part of the Tour is a physically demanding 45-minute tour with approximately 700 metres walking and 240+ uneven steps (equivalent to a 8-storey climb). There are no rest stops and no backtracking once inside. No carrying of children is permitted except for small infants in baby carriers (which allow the accompanying adult to have both hands free for the railings in the tunnels). Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. The tour takes place in enclosed tunnels - please watch for low ceilings, uneven surfaces and other trip hazards - and follow guide instructions at all times.
