Bruno was excellent,... - Bruno was excellent, picked us up from our Hotel and was very informative throughout the day. Lots of time at each stop to explore and his driving was brilliant and very comfortable considering the terrain of the roads. We were in a mini-bus with a total of 15 guests. Commentary was in English, French and Portuguese

Great introduction to the east side of the island - Great guide and we were lucky with the weather until we got to the peak (our last stop). With the Levada walk it is worth going to the end if the visibility is ok. The viewpoint is pretty good. Took us around 23 minutes, coming back is faster.

Great day out - Fabulous day out with Rafael our guide in a comfortable 8 seater minibus. He quickly made the 3 couples and single man feel like a family. Great sights and not rushed as we took in the breathtaking scenery. The group comprised Welsh, English, French, Spanish and Portuguese and we bonded very well as Rafael recognised when to tell us important facts but also letting us talk. Great and inexpensive whole day out.

Another memorable fabulous day spent in Madeira. - Driver knew island extremely well and explained a lot.
Mini bus felt new and had a powerful engine so driving up all the steep twisty roads was not a problem.
We had perfect weather, blue skies clear visibility.

A grand day out - Great trip with friendly and knowledgeable guide. The scenery was stunning and the trip ended almost in another world having driven through the clouds to the top of Pico do Arieiro 1,810 metres above sea level.

Wonderful island! - Thanks a lot to DG Travel for interesting, well organized tours! I did with them East Tour, West Tour, and the levada Ribeiro Frio-Portela. Always punctual, the guides are professional, knowledgeable, funny. Got a lot of information about the island, stunning views and amazing photos! Special thank to Ana who helped me to choose the tours:)

East coast trip - All in all an excellent trip with a very knowledgeable driver.
Would have liked longer on pico (1st stop) and less 20-30 mins stop’s for photos (5-10 mins would be long enough for photos)
Thelevada walk was lovely but it would have been better to have time for coffee at the end of the walk.

Not the best experience. - The mini bus was very cramped.
So pleased be aware if you have disability issues.
The excursion needs to looked at. The first part going up to the highest mountain 3rd highest on the island Pico do Arieiro. Should be weather permitting only, this way people would be more excepting. It was thick fog ii was totally pointless & dangerous. We couldn't see a thing.
Bruno our guide continuely said this is part of the itinerary so he had to take us. WHY !!!! Personally my thoughts were if the weather is thick fog, you can't see a thing they know it's going to be like this why bother ???
Admittedly if the weather was good & clear day it would be amazing.
They should consider weather permitting then either cut the excursion length down or given us more time in the other places visited, to be fair were great. It was a waste of 2 hours rude up & down the mountain.
Madeira is a stunning island.
All excursions we did were amazing, this one was slight a disappointment I know you can't help the weather but some thought needs to be put into.
