The morning is typically spent exploring the southwestern coastline, including Ribeira Brava and the charming village of Lugar de Baixo.
Travel along old roads near the stunning southwestern cliffs, ascending from sea level to approximately 1600m at Bica da Cana.
There will be stops for excellent photo opportunities, maintaining a relaxed atmosphere, away from the usual paths.
- Ribeira Brava - Enjoy spectacular views from an open-top army jeep, far from the crowds and impersonal tours.

- Tabua - Travel along beaten tracks and rural paths, surrounded by banana trees and sugar cane plantations.

After coffee, the tour ascends from sea level to 1600m altitude, via old roads and off-road trails, in a calm, safe, and relaxed manner, to one of the tour’s main attractions, Bica da Cana, where wildlife coexists with grazing cattle.

- Levada do Paul da Serra - Weather permitting, enjoy a 30/40-minute walk (optional) along a levada in Paul da Serra. Flexible options include a walk in Fanal Forest.
- Paul da Serra - Cross Madeira’s only plateau, known as the “Madeiran tundra,” towards Porto Moniz. If the weather is favorable, spend ample time enjoying the incredible views from above the volcanic valleys, formed during the third phase of eruptions that created Madeira Island.
The plateau crossing takes about 45 minutes, with several stops for photos.
- Fanal Forestry Station - Cross the entire Fanal, stopping for photos.
- Vereda do Fanal - Continue stopping for excellent photo opportunities, maintaining a relaxed atmosphere.
