Pleasant way to get to know about Madeira - A lovely gentle half day walk with great views. Our guide Sergio was very informative & entertaining. Pick up & Minibus smooth. Our driver Paolo was excellent on the busy Funchal roads! Unfortunately we missed the abundance of mimosa blossom by a couple of weeks. However the insight into local farming was interesting.

Beautiful Walk But Too Rushed - We liked the walk very much but felt it was too rushed. Tour was advertised to start at 8:30. Received message from tour operator that it would start at 9:00. Tour actually started around 9:20. Not a good start. My wife and I are 70. We are reasonably fit and take walks like this quite often. This walk started off like it was a race. Tour guide approached us early in the walk, asking if we were capable of a 5km walk. Felt like she was trying to get us back on the bus. Scenery was beautiful, would have liked the opportunity to enjoy it. But pace was such that all you could do is keep your head down to make sure you didn’t trip over a rock. As I said before, we have taken many walks like this. And never ended up feeling this way. I wish the pace had been more enjoyable.
