Experience the renowned sunrise of Madeira from Pico Areeiro (1818m) without the hassle of traffic, parking fees, or PR1 path access charges. The journey begins with a pickup at the Cristiano Ronaldo Museum approximately an hour before sunrise, followed by a 35-40 minute drive to the summit.
Upon arrival, after a brief orientation, participants will embark on a hike along the famous PR1 trail, which links Madeira’s tallest peaks. Stops will be made at stunning viewpoints such as Ninho da Manta and the renowned Stairways to Heaven ridge.
As the first light appears on the horizon, participants will have the opportunity to take unforgettable photos while enjoying the tranquil mountain ambiance. The return hike offers even more breathtaking views during the golden hour. The trek takes 40-60 minutes, with stairs and night walking adding an element of adventure.
This entire experience lasts approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes, from pickup to drop-off. Please be aware that the trail may present challenges, including potential vertigo. In the event of adverse weather conditions, the tour will be rescheduled or an alternative tour will be offered.
