There will be a stop in Santana to view the traditional houses before returning to your accommodation. Please note that walking approximately 10 km can be challenging due to uneven terrain and numerous steps, requiring good physical condition.
The tour begins with an optional sunrise observation at Pico do Areeiro (if preferred, the tour can start later without the sunrise).

The tour typically starts at 06:00 am. If opting for the walk without the sunrise, start times can be chosen at 8:00 am, 9:00 am, 10:00 am, or after lunch at 1:00 pm or 2:00 pm.
Wear comfortable and warm clothing, as temperatures can be less than 10 degrees cooler than in the city of Funchal. Bring walking shoes, at least 1 liter of water, some food, and sunscreen.
