The return transfer leaves 30 minutes post-sunset, so guests opting for the optional walk should manage their time wisely to return before departure. If the weather at the summit is unfavorable, an alternative sunset viewpoint in the Palheiro area may be considered.

• Miradouro do Ninho da Manta - This optional viewpoint can be visited during free time at Pico do Arieiro. Ninho da Manta provides stunning mountain views and can be explored independently during the summit stop.
• Miradouro Pedra Rija - Known as Stairway to Heaven, this viewpoint is accessible as an optional self-guided walk from Pico do Arieiro. Guests planning this walk should start promptly upon arrival and ensure they have enough time to return before departure.

• We recommend having a meal before the tour, as restaurants and toilets at Pico do Arieiro may be closed after 18:00.
• This activity operates rain or shine. We normally go to Pico do Arieiro unless the road is closed or there is an official red weather alert.
