Fun and safe tour - Matthew was very good about teaching us how to operate the Segway, and then making sure we were safe during the trip. We enjoyed the tour immensely.

So much fun! - Matthew was an awesome guide. He took the time to help us learn how to ride, asked us what we would like to see and hear, was very informative and helped when we had any problems! Highly recommend this for a fun afternoon!

Local Learned from Tour - Segway itself was easy to learn. I had a moment of panic, but our tour guide gave me easy-to-follow instructions, and I was able to get control again.
The tour was fun, informative, and lovely. I am a local and learned history and saw tree carvings I didn't know and hadn't found yet.
I recommend the experience and the tour. We went in the morning, so, though it was hot, it wasn't unbearable.

So fun! - We were in town for a cruise. Decided to try Segways. It was great. None of us had ever done it before. My wife and I are 50, daughters are 19 and 20. Easy to get use. Did some quick training and practice. Then off we went. Rod through beautiful old neighborhoods. Very little traffic. Lots of history and things to see. Kyle was so cool, friendly and knowledgeable. Made it to the Historic Sea Port and rode through the small downtown area. Absolutely worth it. We would do it again!

Galveston Segway - Due to a mix-up we did not do the Tree Carving Tour but rescheduled for the Sunset Tour. This was a great tour, included several tree carvings and a lot of interesting Galveston sights, mansions and lots of history. Aaron was enthusiastic, informative and safe.
The Segways were easy to master even for a couple of 70+ year olds! This was a great way to see a lot of Galveston without a lot of walking.
Another poster recommended taking a tour early in your visit and I agree, the history lesson added a lot to our visit. Highly recommended!

A fun way to tour and learn about the history of Galveston - Segway tours are always a fun way to see the city. Our tour guide Asa was friendly and very knowledgeable about the history of Galveston. He also gave good recommendations for restaurants and sites to visit. The tree carvings were impressive and the historical homes were beautiful. The tour started in the Strand. We went through the historical homes at the East end where the carvings were located and then also rode on the Sea Wall sidewalk. I would recommend this tour early in your visit of Galveston so that you can get ideas on other sites/ activities to see and do. Our tour lasted over 2 hours , which I enjoyed, but we forgot to bring water with us. I highly recommend this tour. Everyone on the tour had ridden on Segways before so we only had to watch an instructional video. But I’m sure they would help anyone get accustomed to it more if they needed more practice before starting the tour.

Very Enjoyable and Fun - My friend and I booked this tour with Viator, we were in Galveston to go on a cruise and we came in a day early. We are both in our 60's and had never ridden a Segway before. There were two others in the tour, a father and teenage son, and our guide, Aaron.
We were able to get acclimated to the Seg pretty quickly. I will warn you that your legs get really sore pretty quickly- I had not expected that! My feet were cramping terribly. However, Aaron had breaks scheduled in, which really helped. Aaron knows his stuff- learned so much about Galveston history, art, etc. I particularly enjoyed his story about the 3 use fountains (horses, dogs, people) and how helpful those were to the city at the time. And the gorgeous historic houses. I never knew Galveston had such a history or that it had been such a center of wealth at one time. Also learned a lot about the hurricanes, especially the one from 1900 (or 1901)? We covered a lot of ground - no way this could have been done on a walking tour. I would absolutely recommend and would do another SegCity tour if I am back in Galveston.
