Using the monuments and memorials in the Square, they will narrate the story of Galway’s founding, the Irish language, and emigration. The first stop is a modern and contemporary bar near Eyre Square, where you can unwind with a Gin & Tonic and some food. Then, stroll through the vibrant streets that have retained their historic charm for centuries.

The tour lasts approximately 2 hours and accommodates up to 12 participants.

• Forster Street - Stay close to Eyre Square for the second venue, a modern and contemporary bar offering a cocktail crafted with their exclusive house-distilled gin. This venue is situated across from an 18th-century church. Continue through the lively streets that have preserved their historic character for centuries.
• The Browne Doorway - The entrance to the tower house of one of Galway’s original merchant families.
• Lynch’s Castle - The only fully intact tower house of the Lynch family, one of Galway’s most influential old merchant families.
• Middle Street - Depart the main street and walk down Buttermilk Lane onto Middle Street, passing two other historical buildings in the city.
• Saint Nicholas’ Collegiate Church - Dating back to the 14th century and still in use today, this church has hosted famous visitors like Christopher Columbus. It is located next to Galway’s renowned market.
• Galway Market - This famous city market has been a staple for many centuries and takes place on Saturday mornings.
• An Taibhdhearc - Ireland’s first Irish/Gaelic speaking theatre, established in the late 1920s.
• Saint Augustine Street - The second venue is a local family-run business, just off the main street, in the shadow of a church built in the mid-1800s. Enjoy excellent Irish cheeses with meats, breads, and a glass of wine here.
• St. Augustine’s Church - One of three Catholic churches constructed in the 1850s in Galway city.
• Eyre Square - Pass through Eyre Square on the way to the final venue, passing the banners of Galway’s Tribal families. This venue is one of the city’s oldest and most beloved pubs, where you can enjoy local craft beers, including their house beer, in one of the bar’s many cozy snugs.

The final stop is one of Galway’s oldest and most beloved pubs, located right on Eyre Square. Discover the intriguing history of this protected building before settling into one of the bar’s cozy snugs for a tasting of Irish craft beers from local breweries, including their own house beer, or an Irish whiskey flight.
