- Garni Temple - Garni Temple (77 A.D.) is the sole surviving pagan temple in the entire post-Soviet region. It elegantly stands on a high plateau overlooking the Azat River Gorge. The site also features a Roman bathhouse with an intriguing mosaic made from 30,000 pieces of natural stone, as well as the remnants of a royal palace dating back to the 3rd century A.D.
- Symphony of Stones - Garni Gorge is a breathtaking natural wonder located near the village of Garni in Armenia. Known as the “Symphony of Stones,” its unique rock formations create a stunning symphony of colors and shapes.
- The visit to the Symphony of Stones is dependent on weather conditions.
- The Monastery of Geghard - The Geghard monastic complex is another historical site featured in this daily tour. Known in English as the “Monastery of the Holy Lance,” it refers to the lance used by Longinus to pierce Jesus while on the cross, which was later brought to Armenia and preserved in the Geghard monastery for five centuries. The complex exemplifies 13th Century Armenia, considered the Golden Age of the country’s architecture. The most remarkable aspect is the architect’s skill in carving the church directly into solid rock while adhering to all the principles of Armenian architecture.
- Lake Sevan - During your visit to Armenia, you must not miss the opportunity to see one of the country’s most iconic landmarks—the magnificent Lake Sevan.
Situated at an altitude of 1,900 meters above sea level and encircled by a majestic mountain range, this spectacular lake is a must-visit.
You’ll ascend to the Sevan Peninsula, where breathtaking panoramic views of the lake await you from the top. While there, you’ll have the chance to explore Sevanavank Monastery, home to one of Armenia’s most exquisite Amenaprkich (All Savior) Khachkars. This remarkable cross-stone is among the 13 rarest in the country, beautifully depicting Jesus.
- Haghartsin Monastery - The Haghartsin Monastery dates back to the 10th -14th centuries. Its name translates to “the play of the eagle.” The scenery resembles a stunning work of art, with both the monastery and its natural surroundings offering a breathtaking view. The refectory of Haghartsin is considered the largest in Armenian Church architecture; it was a groundbreaking innovation of its time! If you’re curious as to why, there’s nothing better than seeing it for yourself!
- Dilijan - Dilijan is a charming town, often called the “Switzerland of Armenia” due to its breathtaking natural beauty. Strolling along the oldest street, Sharambeyan, you’ll be enchanted by wooden houses, many of which date back to the 19th century.
- Goshavank Monastery - The tour will then take you to Northern Armenia, where you’ll be surrounded by beautiful nature. Passing through the city of Dilijan, there will be a stop at the Goshavank Monastery. This historic church is nestled in the heart of nature and a picturesque village of the same name. Mkhitar Gosh was a prominent intellectual of his time, “a humble man of wisdom,” who authored numerous works, including the first code of civil and Canon law used in both Greater Armenia and Cilicia. He is buried near the church he built in 1188. Here, you will also see Pavghos’s (Poghos) Khachkar, considered the most beautiful “embroidered” Khachkar (stone cross) in Armenia.

Following this, the itinerary includes the Pagan Temple of Garni, the only remaining Hellenistic pagan temple in the Caucasus Region, constructed in the first century AD as a dedication to the sun god Mihr (Mithra). The Geghard Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is located alongside the Upper Azat Valley. Lake Sevan, the world’s second-largest high-altitude freshwater lake, features a major island, now a peninsula, that hosts a medieval monastery with breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The Sevanavank Monastery, built in the 9th century, contains one of the four remaining Amenaprkich Khachkars and is intertwined with significant historical events and battles. Dilijan, often referred to as “Little Switzerland,” is a charming town in the north, enveloped by lush forests and mountains.
