- Garni Gorge - The journey begins early in the morning in Yerevan, heading towards Garni Canyon. Along the way, there will be a stop at Charent’s Ark to admire the Biblical Mountain Ararat. The trip continues to the canyon with a coffee break by the riverbank. After the break, the journey proceeds through the gorge, stopping at the Stone Symphony…
- Garni Gorge - The journey begins early in the morning in Yerevan, heading towards Garni Canyon. Along the way, there will be a stop at Charent’s Ark to admire the Biblical Mountain Ararat. The trip continues to the canyon with a coffee break by the riverbank. After the break, the journey proceeds through the gorge, stopping at the Stone Symphony to marvel at the stunning, seemingly man-made slopes from base to summit.
- Garni Temple - Ascending from the canyon to the village, the next destination is Garni Temple, constructed in the latter half of the 1st century A.D. and dedicated to Mitra, the Sun God. Following the advent of Christianity, the temple served as a summer residence for Armenian Kings and was known as “A House of Coolness.”
- The Monastery of Geghard - Following a tour of the temple, lunch will be enjoyed at a local house. Afterward, the journey continues to Geghard Monastery, established in the 4th century A.D. (originally called Ayrivank or “Cave Monastery”) and reconstructed in 1215. According to legend, the name Geghard was bestowed when the legendary spear - Geghard - (that pierced Christ) was brought there.
