Fabulous day out! - This was a fantastic boat trip! Thoroughly entertaining....believable pirates, jokes all day long...friendly, warm staff from the first greeting of the day. I can not recommend this trip enough for any age group..absolutely loved it...big thanks to Salty Bob for taking such good care of us all and letting my grandaughter "steer the wheel"

Best boat trip we've ever been on - Where to start with this one , we as a family of 5 with children ranging from 2years - 12yrs have been on many boat trips when we go on holiday (alot) this boat trip was by far the BEST experience we have had. The crew are all dressed in uniform (cool tshirts with the black pearl on ) and those not in uniform are dressed as characters and my gosh they are good . I first admired the decor and little touches of the boat it looks like an old pirate boat and there are little props around the ship including pictures on the walls of wanted pirates or written signs with pirate quotes , a faux steering wheel on main deck the younger kids all enjoyed , all the drinks have themed names (the treasure chest was my favourite and the captain hook was the kids favourite mocktails) reasonably priced aswell compared to some, also bought a pirate kit with sword and gun, eye patch ect for my 2 year old and it was around 7 euros again compared to prices else where is good when your used to paying £15 in the uk when at a circus for rubbish props 😅🤣 The first encounter we had with the actors was when one (barbosa ) came and started high fiving the kids and playing little tricks on them he was lovely to chat with and stayed in character and cussed out jack sparrow, they were very good with the kids getting them involved with flag drawing and little bits here and there throughout the whole trip. There was an older lady aswell who was very good in character but also lovely to chat with when she was walking around mingling with everyone, my husband was chosen " picked on" by them at one point and they included adults in some of there scenes which my husband enjoyed more than he should of , they gave him and another a nickname (flora) and had a bit of banter with the adults on board all the banter was funny and not offencive unless your a Karen a few comments about the welsh jokes which we all found funny a few innuendos that the kids thought ment one thing but adults chuckled as it ment another. There were 2 quiz type questions and my stepson awnsered correctly and won a pirate prop kit and the adults competition won a cocktail if there choice from the bar (they don't skimp on the alcohol either ) The 2 swim stops were beautiful and being able to jump from the ledges around the boat were amazing the first time I'd jumped from a height off a boat and loved every second , my brother jumped from the top deck which was almost twice the height , my husband and children including the 2 year old with a life vest on went off the back of the boat using the steps was lovely for are whole family to enjoy the swim stops (except my nan who is 85 ). We had picked a day where it wasn't to over crowded but I imagine this boat is very popular in high season/weekends. We seen the lovers bridge and again the pirates with there microphones made banter with a few people up on the clifs ( i think the locals all know this boat and the actors as the tour guides gave the thumbs up and didn't mind ) . They tell you bit about the history of certain coves and the history of farmagusta and pointed it out for us to see.love a bit of a back story so really interesting for me. My brother had recently just got married and they pulled him his new wife and 2 other couples up and re married them in a funny scene everyone was smiles and laughing (my brother visits cyprus every year with his family of 4 and goes on this boat trip every time). The actors really made this trip for us how lovely they were in and out of character. The staff on board helped my 85 year old nan about and also helped me with the pushchair as we wanted to go and sit on the main deck. Food was lovely and even the kids enjoyed the chicken wings cooked to perfection 👌 By the end of the trip I wanted to move to Cyprus and get a job on board the black pearl - it was so much fun !! 100 percent would go again when visiting cyprus we did have a deal because there was 12 of us in total booking but that again was down to the man we happend to walk past on a podium outside a car museum bar and asked if he could do us a deal(you don't ask you don't get) he then checked with his manager and exchanged numbers with us texts us within a few hours with a deal for us all (it wasn't a huge amount off but was cheaper than the few excursion apps I price checked- but after experiencing this I'd of been happy paying full price because the price for what it includes and the atmosphere is amazing). We were a group ranging from 85years old, 30's , teens , a 9 year old and a 2 year old and everyone enjoyed the day (take sunscreen though main deck is a perfect sun trap) If you go definitely take some spare euros those guys deserve all the tips they get for sure 👌 We will be back, and definitely onboard again . Pictures include the appearance of barbosa after a battle and myself with my 9 year old niece jumping from the main deck. X

Pirate Paradise 5 Stars - If you think this is like to Turkey cruises where everyone is tanked up and your child might be exposed to things they shouldn't then fear not. This is a genuine Pirate Cruise aimed specifically at families with children. The staff are so welcoming to everyone and if you want to ride top deck in the sunshine make sure you take hats and sun cream as its roasting but so much fun. Children are taught how to be Pirates and get sworn in. On board they sell plenty of Pirate themed toys which I think are reasonably priced. You also get two swim stops which are amazing and the staff take safety very seriously. Each child entering the water was offered a life jacket which the staff fitted and checked every element of it. I was so impressed with every element of this cruise. The food provided is a delicious chicken dinner with rice and coleslaw and potato salad which rivalled my own hotels food. The chicken was delicious. Drinks on board are also reasonably priced and everything was clean. Overall we thought this was an amazing trip to do whilst in Ayia Napa and our 3 year old Son was in awe of the Pirates. We did take snacks for our Son but he also loved the lunch. They sell other snacks on board too. The ship is beautiful with lots of photo opportunities on board with treasure chests, skeletons and the walls are adored with Pirate memorabilia. Make sure to take a towel to sit on as the seating upstairs is plastic as they have the swim stops and got very hot, we just sat on our towels. We would 100% recommend this lovely family trip.

Great crew great ship always happy! - The morning tour was a great experience for the whole family. The pick up and transfer in front of the hotel worked very well. Great crew from the Black Pearl, great places to visit and the food and bar was also great. Great show for the little ones too. We can recommend the tour unconditionally. There were 2 bathing stops. The tour in the evening is rather not designed for children and is intended for the elders.

Great show! - This is not just a cruise - it's a very well planned experience with great actors on board. I would not call them Animators, as they were truly into their roles, following scenario of some great play. Well done to Jack Sparrow - guy even matched the voice of Jonny Depp. It was really super fun!

Great Family Day Out on the Black Pearl - We recently went on the Black Pearl Cruise during our holiday in Ayia Napa, and it was a fantastic day out—especially for families. The pirate-themed boat is impressively maintained and really sets the tone for a fun, themed adventure. A big plus was that the coach transfer from our hotel was included in the price, making the whole experience very convenient. Lunch was also provided on board and included roast chicken legs, rice, potatoes, and coleslaw. It was simple but tasty. Drinks are available to purchase, but be prepared—they're quite expensive. We paid €15 for four small Cokes, which would be our only real criticism of the day. The cruise took us along the coast up to the Famagusta area, with the crew sharing some interesting facts along the way. We stopped twice for swimming: once at Konnos Bay and again at the Blue Lagoon on the return. Both stops were well-organized and lots of fun. You could swim from the back of the boat using a ladder, jump off the sides, or—if you’re feeling brave—leap from the top deck’s higher platforms, which I definitely recommend for a thrill! Life jackets were available for anyone who needed them, and the crew were very attentive to safety, especially with children entering the water. It gave a great sense of reassurance. The return journey was a bit choppy due to wind conditions, but that’s just nature doing its thing. Some passengers felt a bit seasick, but the staff were very helpful, offering support and tips. (Pro tip: focus on the horizon—it really does help!) Overall, it was a great trip, packed with fun, swimming, and amazing views. We’d definitely do it again!

Too much smoking on board! - The trip had so much potential and could easily have been a 5-star experience — but the constant smoking on board completely ruined it. It was awful. You board expecting to enjoy the beautiful views and some fresh sea air, but instead you're surrounded by smoke from both staff and guests puffing away like chimneys. It was impossible to relax or enjoy the atmosphere. Such a shame for an otherwise lovely experience
