- The Gardeners Arms - Enjoy lunch at a traditional English pub with ‘pub grub and a pint.’ The Gardeners Arms is a favorite, but it is very close to the Ardingly Antiques Fair and can get quite busy. There are many other charming old pubs nearby, and a decision on the location can be made closer to the time.
- Wakehurst - Wakehurst Place, located in the heart of the ancient county of Sussex, features an expansive botanical garden and is home to the Millennium Seed Bank, with over 500 acres of diverse landscapes and plants from around the world. The estate is managed by the renowned Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew.
The original home was built in 1205 by William de Wakehurst, with the current mansion constructed by Edward Culpeper between 1571 and 1590.
Visitors can tour the beautifully preserved mansion with its art and contents and learn about the families that have resided here over the centuries.
Stroll through the extensive grounds and admire the vast array of plants. Wakehurst is stunning in any season.
There is a café for coffee and snacks and a fantastic shop.
