Excellent personal presentation - A very interesting and well-presented tour. The site is under massive renovation, meaning it's probably not suitable for children or anyone wanting hands-on activities or slick graphics, but that's made up for by the excellent storytelling (our guide was Logan) and pacing. It's only recently got going and their plans should make this even better as they proceed. It's best for people who remember the cold war or the Protect and Survive leaflets of the 1980s.

A great piece of hidden history…. - Logan, our tour guide, was excellent. Terrific knowledge and great enthusiasm for the bunker. The bunker’s sheer size was breathtaking and the restoration, although nowhere near complete, gives a rich history of how the bunker was used.

Great story telling - Really interesting tour. Logan was extremely well informed and had the perfect story telling voice and drama. We will definitely come back when more of the restoration has been completed.

Unusual highlight of a trip to Edinburgh - Really interesting place, deep underground down a very atmospheric tunnel. Currently being restored to reflect it's various phases of use. Interesting tour, anyone interested in Cold War history would love this place. Easy enough to get to on the bus from the centre of Edinburgh.

Fantastic tour—atmospheric and informative and the guide was great - This way surpassed my expectations, based on a prior tour of the Secret Bunker in Fife (which I enjoyed, but it was a very different sort of experience). Our guide (Sophia, I think her name was) was amazing. She led us on an hour-long exploration of an underground world I hadn’t even known existed until the day before. She related so much interesting information and did it so naturally that you could tell she really was passionate about the bunker and the amazing work they’ve done to preserve/conserve its history. And that history includes the 1990s, when it became derelict and a place for teens far braver than I ever was, who traveled through its air ducts. It really was like hearing the story of a life, in a way—the reason it came into being, stories from people who worked there in its heyday, so to speak, and then its dotage. But unlike us humans, the bunker is now being given a new sort of life and it was great hearing about that, as well. I’ve lived in Edinburgh for several years and unlike any of the other tours I’ve been on, I’d gladly do this one again when friends visit. I’m excited to see the results of their continued work (and they are all volunteers, mind you—this is a charity operation).

Amazing tour - The tour is amazing for those who are interested in Scotland's history. The tour guide, Geoff, was really friendly and knowledgeable and made the tour really fun! The site is really cool, you get to see lots of the different rooms inside and all of the historical equipment left over! Good value for money.

Edinburgh Nuclear Bunker - A really fascinating insight into an important historical site of the Cold War. The tour took us round some of the main rooms of the complex (which was vast) and we were able to see close up the operations areas, some of the original equipment used plus there were many information boards explaining some of the background and history of the bunker and the Cold War. Jeff was a really knowledgeable tour guide and gave a real insight into the bunker and its operations

Great tour for those interested in the Cold War - Popped in here for the tour on Sunday morning, and it was a great way to spend an hour or so doing something a bit different. The tour guide, Logan, was engaging and knowledgeable about the history of the bunker and also the vision for its future. The overall aim of the conservation project is to recreate what the bunker would have looked like in the 1950s-60s, and they have already started sourcing period equipment for this purpose. It would be interesting to return for another tour in a few years to see how they have got on with this.
