A Great Family Experience - Our first experience at LegoLand - Manchester. A great experience not only for our 10 year old nephew but for us adults too. Really well thought out and did not have a dull moment for the 2 hours we were timed to be in there for. Highly recommended for a great family experience.

Nice few hours if you or the kids like Lego. - Great place for anyone that’s into Lego, it’s not the biggest attraction and there isn’t a massive amount to do but what rides there is are very good and you can go on as many times as you wish except the VR which we only went on the once but my 5 year old loved it. He also loved the 4D cinema, it’s only a short movie but there is foam which kids love. They do give you 3 hours but I don’t think anyone checks but by that time you’ve seen and done everything there is. The staff were friendly and helpful and I’d recommend spending the extra £8 for the kids activity pack, definitely worth it for kids especially the VR ride. All in all I’d recommend this attraction for a few hours if you’re in or near the Trafford Centre.

Worth a visit- lots to do - We visited last month as a family (me, hubby, and our daughter), and our 8 year old loved it. There's a lot to do; rides, lego building, kids' play area, 4D cinema, VR. The rides are super cute and fun, I love that you can do them as many times as you like- other than the VR which you have to pay extra for (its worth a go but could be expensive for bigger families). Our daughter particularly enjoyed the making and racing car section. We spent quite a lot of time there! The 4D cinema was really cool too, I think I enjoyed it more than our daughter 🤣 There are also characters that come out now and again, which is great for a photo op- we saw the Lego shark while we were there. I'm glad we went but im not sure I'd do a second visit- but only due to the fact that I felt we'd done everything. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because we couldn't do the character build in the shop, there was barely any choice of pieces and only 2 hair options for the mini figs, which seems crazy for a Lego store!

Mixed - Small cafe that ran out of mains before 12:00. So take a packed lunch if staying for long. Can’t do the driving police chase unless under 5 and have to pay extra for the vr driving racer (feel everything should be included) as you already pay extra for photos, Lego sets etc

Birthday treat for 5 year old. - Came here with my daughter (5 years old) during the half term holidays for her birthday. I think that the place is aged towards the younger children and she had an amazing time. There were lots of activities to do such as a dark ride, 4d cinema, play centre and a few small rides. From the minute we got in it was non stop and the 2 hour alloted time flew by. I found that older kids might get a bit bored as it is aimed at younger ones and it is so expensive. After entry fees, photos, food and drink you are looking at £100 which is expensive for an attraction in a shopping centre. Also, I found the lego displays to be a little underwhelming. There was no wow factor to them and it was only a small area. The shop on the way out was massive and another chance to spend more money. Overall, the little one had a great day and that's what it's all about but it is on the expensive side and there seemed to be no limit to how many people were allowed in so it was packed. I am not sure there is enough there to make me want to go back but for little ones, it's a good one off day out.

Improved since last visit - First visit in a few years.. We thankfully visited on Sunday morning which I would recommend for anyone as it was quiet so walked straight into all the rides and served immediately for food/drinks. It is very small so can imagine it could get overcrowded in busy times. You receive a wrist band which gives you 2 hours (dont think anyone checks!). Good start, nice set up of lego cities including Manchester , Blackpool and London. Also has a new fun ride of laser shoot em up. The rest is unfortunately the same, if not a bit worse. 4D cinema is good if not been before but getting a bit tired as showing same thing for years. There is a VR section but costs extra! There is still a race track but now just for under 5s and not managed so bit of a free for all and age restriction is ignored anyway!! Other than there is a tiny under 5s play area which tells the story that it has somewhat become aimed at younger children. Leaving the venue sees a few more displays, including a decent one covering space then into the overpriced gift shop! .. We used Merlin annual pass and was ok, but only due to being able to move around freely.

Soft-play+ but not a destination - Enjoyable on a relatively quiet Sunday morning with our 9yo and 3yo, but only for about two hours. We went as annual pass members with Sea Life next door also booked (this was better than that) but I would have been pretty disappointed if we’d paid full price. Rides were fine, but basic (gun not working on our car for the kingdom battle) and the whole experience clearly downgraded from the last time we attended in 2018 - e.g. the Lego ‘factory’ is not simply a corridor you walk through, with no guide or interactive element. If you happen to be nearby and are happy to play for a couple of hours of Lego-themed soft play, go for it - but don’t make this a destination with your kids.

An expensive soft play venue - Our 8 year old grandson is really into lego so we thought this trip would be right up his street. He thoroughly enjoyed the virtual reality experience, which lasted less than 5 minutes and incurred an additional expense. However, there were few activities suitable, as the whole venue was little more than a soft play area for under 5's. The cafe was small but there was ample seating for picnicers and this area was adequately staffed. The place did look a bit shabby and it is in real need of a revamp. Please be aware that there is constant really loud music that limits conversation throughout the whole area. Even the quiet route was extremely loud and definitely not suitable for neuro divergent children or children with sensitive hearing. We left after just over an hour feeling that we had had a poor experience at an over inflated price.
