Excellent tour, wonderful guide and great introduction to the city - Excellent tour, covers the broad history of the city, stops at features from different eras, clearly explains the political, religious, social contexts. Mostly outdoors (St. Mary's church and Post Office indoors). It was all made very enjoyable and interesting by the guide Sandra who welcomed all questions and was hugely informative on the history of Poland and well beyond. A wonderful way to learn about the people and their city, and to get your bearings. We were in the cold snow but were well wrapped up and didn't notice the time going - but do come prepared for weather.

10/10 walking tour in Gdansk - I’ve always enjoyed free walking tours when I travel, but I’m continually amazed by the tour guides and the depth of knowledge they share in such an engaging and easy-to-follow way. I learned so much, and the experience truly made me appreciate the city even more. Marcin was an amazing guide!

A terrible experience - Our guide was named Paul, and we were not satisfied with the tour. He was irritating and constantly talked nonsense while we were waiting for all the tour participants to join. Still, we wanted to give him a chance, because I visited Gdańsk 7 years ago and liked the tour led by the guide at that time so much that I hoped this time it would be the same. When we arrived at the large photograph of Gdańsk destroyed after World War II, one girl asked the guide why the Russians had destroyed the city so much. The guide replied: “Because they are Russians.” This was very rude and politically incorrect. One should not generalize or speak about nations in this way, because every nation consists of people who would never order such actions nor take part in wars. We left the tour immediately, very dissatisfied.
