Diri Baba Mausoleum - Situated in the Shamakhy-Maraza region of Azerbaijan, the Diri Baba Mausoleum is a stunning example of the Shirvan architectural style. According to inscriptions on the monument, it was built in 1402 by an architect known as “…the son of ustad Haji.” A funeral inscription mentions Shirvanshahs – Ibrahim I of Shirvan, ruler of the Shirvanshakhs State. Many legends surround the mausoleum, with locals believing a sacred figure named Diribaba is buried here, remaining incorruptible over the centuries. This has made the mausoleum a popular site for pilgrims and visitors since its construction.
Ismayilli - Lahij is a secluded village in the Ismayilli district of Azerbaijan, nestled on the slopes of the Greater Caucasus at an elevation of 1,211 meters above sea level. It is approximately 190 km from the capital, Baku. The village has a population of around 2,000, primarily from an ethnic minority that speaks the Tat language. Lahij is one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited places, boasting a sewage system dating back 1,000 years, a remarkable feature for its time. In contrast, major European cities like Paris and London did not have sewage systems until the 13th-14th centuries AD. The village’s architecture and layout are unique, with residents developing advanced construction techniques due to frequent earthquakes. Traditionally, the ground floors of houses served as workshops and trade rooms, and the homes are notable for their flat roofs and some with balconies overlooking the street.
Nohur Gol - Nohur Lake is a beloved natural attraction in Gabala, Azerbaijan, located about 5 km east of Gabala city. Surrounded by forests and the towering mountains of Yumru, Goydag, and Gulluburun, the lake spans 240 hectares and reaches a maximum depth of 24 meters. Its clear waters are fed by fresh water sources, with additional seasonal water from the Caucasus mountains and the Damiraparan and Vandam rivers. Originally a natural lake, a water-storage reservoir was built in 1949 on its southern side, playing a crucial role in meeting the agricultural needs of nearby districts. In winter, the lake’s surface often freezes, with ice thickness reaching 50-60 cm.
Tufandag Mountain Resort - Tufandag Mountain Resort offers visitors breathtaking natural beauty and harmony. Nestled among surrounding mountains, it is a must-visit for nature lovers and sports enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy a cable car ride and participate in activities such as quad tours, mountain biking, horse riding, and skiing during the winter season.

Sheki Khan’s Palace - The Sheki Khan Palace is a captivating medieval building in Shaki, Azerbaijan. Although referred to as a palace, it was actually the summer residence of the Shaki Khanate. Unfortunately, most of these buildings have been lost over time. Today, the Sheki Khan Palace, along with a pool and centuries-old trees, is the only remaining structure from the complex.
