Alesandra and Silvia made our day unique and wonderful! - We came from our Princess cruise ship to enjoy this experience and had an absolutely wonderful time doing this unique cooking class hosted by Alessandra and Silvia. They were both amazing hosts, and we had the class in a beautiful private apartment in Genoa. The location was a bit tricky to find, so leave yourself plenty of time to arrive. But Alessandra was waiting outside the building to escort us in. There were only two couples attending the class and the chemistry was wonderful. We started with some delicious coffee and focaccia in the kitchen and got to know one another. Once we started the cooking class we moved to a beautiful dining room where everything was set up on a dining table, with a beautiful painting on the wall. We made homemade pasta, the classic way, with 00 Flour and an egg, and it was so much fun. Then we made the pesto from the freshest of ingredients, selected that morning, in a mortar and pestle, the way it has been made for hundreds of years. While the pasta was cooking we enjoyed a delicious local white wine that Alessandra (a certified Sommelier) selected for us, along with delicious antipasto, and got to know one another. We had so much fun. Then the moment we all waited for- we enjoyed the wonderful lunch we prepared together. We never tasted anything so delicious! During the class Alessandra took pictures and sent personalized photos to us by email a few days later, along with multiple recipes and additional information about local cuisine. What a great way to remember our fantastic experience! We can't say enough wonderful things about our time together with Alessandra and Silvia. If you are in Genoa, we strongly encourage you to do this cooking class, you won't be sorry. Plus it is finished in plenty of time to spend a few additional hours exploring Genoa!

Cooking Class with Alberto! - My husband and I, along with my son and his girlfriend, travelled from Canada and thoroughly enjoyed Alberto’s cooking class. With beautiful scenery at his rooftop terrace in his apartment, along with his friendly and engaging personality, it made this experience a highlight of our trip. Alberto’s knowledge about the history and preparation of Genevan cuisine is amazing. We highly recommend booking with him.

We enjoyed the passionate way he was telling about the history and where the products come from. I could recommend this experience to everyone! Some nice Italian music would have completed the whole experience, but nevertheless we found it a 5/5 activity! Thanks for all Alberto!

A superb experience— fun, educational, and delicious. - A fantastic learning experience, meal, and hands-on fun. An extensive and detailed history of pesto and real Genovese cuisine secrets. Alberto is charming, knowledgeable, informative, and very patient with us plebes. Three courses of marvelous food and lovely wine.

Best experience ever!!! - Alberto has our heart!!! The kindest man ever, and his love for sharing the history of pasta and pesto in Genova radiates from him! He was so kind and helpful! His drink was fantastic, and he was super intentional in everything that he did. This was the perfect experience, and I will never be able to eat pasta the same. Truly the best experience in Genova, a must do for everyone visiting!!!

Fun experience - Silvia and Alasandra put on a warm and welcoming class. I had fun and learned a lot. We learned about the culture of the area and where all the food came from. Then we learned how to make it and we ate it and talked about fun things the whole time.
