Go Where the Locals Go! - Picked up by our wonderful and incredibly knowledgeable host Janince and her brother, we embarked on an unforgettable food journey through the vibrant streets of Georgetown and its surrounding neighbourhoods. Our adventure began in a hidden laneway, where we sampled three distinct dishes, including a Michelin recognised dessert named Cendol, a unique take on Laksa, compared to my normal coconut based variety, and a flavour-packed shrimp noodle. Each stop offered not only delicious food but also stories. Janince shared insights into the local communities that gather in these areas each evening, bringing the laneways and night markets to life with conversation, laughter, and shared meals.
