Great local experience with a knowledgeable guide - We really enjoyed this food tour with Mr. Law Hock Chye. He was friendly, passionate, and full of local knowledge. We got to try a wide range of traditional dishes and drinks, learn about Penang’s rich history, and see some of the city’s famous street art. A great way to explore the culture and flavours of Penang!

Highly recommended by two New Zealanders - The food was authentic & flavoursome and hearing how the the food is conected to the history of the country is really interesting. Was a very fun, educational culture and history tour of Georgetown, Penang. Highly recommended tour, James is an experienced and helpful tour guide who speaks fluent English and has a passion for food, history and people. Was a lot of communication before the tour by WhatsApp to find out your food preferences and dietary restrictions.

A great mix of history, food, and culture - James was such a great and considerate tour guide. I lucked out and was able to have a private tour with James. He was very knowledgeable and told me lot of interesting bits of Penang’s history. I got to eat so many delicious dishes that I wouldn’t have tried on my own. It was insanely hot out that day, and James made sure to have us seated in places with fans and he adjusted the tour so we went at a more leisurely pace rather than rushing around from place to place.

Good food and guide - Our Guide, Lester, was great! He was knowledgeable about Penang and we visited several great food stalls. Lester was happy to explain the food to us and was willing to take photos of us both. Great time - thanks Lester.

Interesting food tour - We had a very informative food tour with Pho. She gave us so much information about the city, their culture and the food. I love when food tours are more than just about the food.

Highly Recommended - Our tour guide James was wonderful. We visited a number of places pre-selected by James and tried the local delicacies. James also provided the historical context/background of the neighborhoods visited. The food was great and our tour guide’s knowledge and presentation made it even better.

A food tour and much more - My friend and I did this tour on our 2nd day in George Town. James was absolutely fantastic - he asked about allergies/intolerance ahead of time and asked if there were any dishes I'd like to try. He accommodated all of this in the tour - and we even had some amazing cakes that he'd gone to the market ahead of time to buy so we could try them. As well as the food we learnt loads about George Town and it's buildings and history. Couldn't recommend enough - definitely come hungry!
