Drive from Pokhara to Bikash Danda, then walk to Ghandruk Village at 2,012 m
Ghandruk - After enjoying a delightful time in Pokhara, surrounded by stunning scenery and views of the Annapurna and Manaslu Himalayas, along with various beautiful lakes, the journey continues. In the morning, the drive will proceed to Kyu Mi Danda via Nayapul and Birethati. The road is unpaved, and a shared jeep will be taken from Pokhara to Ghandruk. The trail passes through the Modi River, authentic villages, and hills, offering thrilling views of the Annapurna valley. Ghandruk village is a large Gurung settlement and an iconic location in the Annapurna region, where visitors can explore the local Gurung culture, customs, museums, lifestyle, and enjoy magnificent views of Annapurna South, Hiuchuli, Machhapuchre, Gangapurna, and Annapurna III.
Trek from Ghandruk to Upper Sinuwa at 2,345 m
Sinuwa - The trek continues towards Upper Sinuwa from the beautiful Ghandruk village. The trail varies, requiring a strenuous walk to reach Upper Sinuwa. It takes approximately 7 hours, excluding breaks for lunch and tea. The path leads through Kimrung Danda, Kimrung River, and Chhomrong village before arriving at Sinuwa. Along the way, trekkers can explore the diverse vegetation and Gurung culture, with mesmerizing views of the Annapurna Himalayan ranges.
Trek from Upper Sinuwa to Deurali at 3,700 m
Annapurna Base Camp - The trail ascends uphill, with cooler and fresher air, leading to the Annapurna Sanctuary. The walk follows a winding path, passing through beautiful places such as Bamboo, Dovan, and the Himalayas. The entire day involves walking through the enchanting bamboo and rhododendron forest, with the Eden valley of the Modi River.
Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) at 4,130 m
Annapurna Sanctuary - The trail ascends to Machhapuchhre Base Camp, situated at 3,900 m above sea level. Today, trekkers will climb 730 m to reach the Annapurna Base Camp. The trail gradually ascends to ABC, with a pleasant stop at MBC beneath the towering North Face of Machhapuchare, the Fish Tail peaks. The walk continues uphill into the Annapurna Sanctuary and Base Camp, reaching higher areas at Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m) with stunning views of the Annapurna peaks encircling the sanctuary, including Annapurna I.
Trek from Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo at 2,345 m
Bamboo - After a wonderful time at Annapurna Base Camp, the descent begins to Bamboo. The trail is gentle, but caution is advised while descending. The path leads downhill through Deurali, Himalaya, and Dovan before reaching Bamboo. The descent is easier, with a few ups and downs along the gradual winding trail through the serene forest, returning to the tree lines at Bamboo for an overnight stay. A warm, hot shower at Bamboo is a delightful way to end the day, and it’s a beautiful place to enjoy a brilliant time.
Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu Danda at 1,700 m, a place with Hot Springs
Jhinu Danda - From here, a short steep ascent leads to KhuldiGhar, followed by a descent through the forest to reach the secluded spot of Sinuwa-Danda. From there, the trail descends to Chomrong Khola. After crossing the bridge, a short climb leads to Chomrong village for lunch. After Chomrong, another short ascent reaches the top of Chomrong ridge, and the final day’s walk descends to Jhinu-Danda.
Trek to Samrung Khola, then drive to Pokhara
Pokhara Lakeside - After a refreshing adventure and the last day’s walk, a short downhill trek crosses a long suspension bridge to reach Samrung Khola. At Samrung Khola, a local jeep will be taken to Pokhara, with a 4-hour drive. The road passes through Kimrung village, Syauli Bazaar, Birethati Nayapul, Kande, and Naudanda before arriving in Pokhara. The tour concludes here.
