Tirta Empul, meaning ‘holy water spring,’ is actually the name of a water source located within the temple. The spring feeds various purification baths, pools, and fish ponds surrounding the outer perimeter, which all flow to the Tukad Pakerisan River.
- Ulu Petanu Waterfall - Nestled in Manik Sawang, Kedisan, Tegallalang, Gianyar (Bali), Ulu Petanu is a hidden gem waterfall about 15 meters high. It lies approximately 30 minutes north of Ubud.
The waterfall is surrounded by lush tropical forest and dense greenery, which helps create a cool, tranquil atmosphere.
There is a clean, natural pool at the base, perfect for refreshing dips, especially after the short descent.
The path to reach the waterfall involves descending about 50 steps from the parking/ticket area. The trail is generally well-maintained, but it can get slippery in the rainy season.
