Wonderful guide, wonderful experience - We had a wonderful tour of Pura Tirta Empul including the melukat ceremony. Our guide - Kadek - was excellent. His friendly nature and generous knowledge sharing made the visit very special and he even prepared a prayer offering for us to start the water predication ritual. I would highly recommend this option to better understand the significance of the site and the process. We spent around 90 minutes in total.

Solo travel to Water Purification Ceremony - The experience was great. My guide explained information that I was unaware of, which assissted me at every step. I am most appreciative of the Balinese people.

A beautiful experience! An absolute must do! - This was a fabulous experience. I initially felt silly booking such a spiritual experience like this via TripAdvisor, but it beat all expectations. We were greeted by our own guide who explained the purification process and led us through it. We were permitted to use 13 of the fountains throughout 3 sacred pools, and the guide explained the purpose and meaning of each one. Our guide explained how to do the ceremony in the traditional manner but, so long as you are respectful, each person can experience it in a way that is meaningful to them. He also took phenomenal photos. After the ceremony, he also took us around the temple explaining it's history. Tip: Go as early as possible. We were there first thing in the morning so had the place virtually to ourselves. The energy of the temple and the water was amazing. By the time we left around 9, it was busy and I suspect a far different experience.

DON’T MISS THIS ONE - Good experience for first timer. Is this kind of things that you can not miss in Bali. You can take a guide arriving there but to be honest is not necessary. The price for the guide I think is too expensive but like I said it’s up to you.
