Tirta Empul Temple, situated in Tampaksiring, Bali, is a revered Hindu site established in 962 AD during the Warmadewa dynasty. Dedicated to Vishnu, the god of water, the temple is famous for its holy spring, which consistently provides pristine water to its purification pools and fountains. This spring is believed to possess healing qualities and is integral to purification rituals such as the Melukat Ceremony, where participants seek spiritual cleansing and renewal.

Tirta Empul Temple is closely linked to Balinese mythology. According to legend, the spring was created by Lord Indra to combat the malevolent King Mayadenawa, who had tainted local water supplies. Indra pierced the ground to create the water of immortality, saving his forces and restoring harmony. The spring water is thought to have healing properties and is used in purification rituals.

• Participants must wear a top that covers the shoulders, such as a T-shirt, and short bottoms that are above the knee, like shorts or a short skirt.
• Participants must enter their WhatsApp registered phone number when booking so we can easily reach out.
• Participants must bring a change of underwear or swimwear and a towel.
• Travelers undergoing menstruation are strictly not allowed to enter the temple. If you menstruate after placing a booking, you can request a refund or reschedule.
