Cherry Blossom season in Hunza Valley typically marks the beginning of spring and continues until early summer. Generally, the cherry blossom season spans from March 15 to April 30. This is a sightseeing tour where travelers journey along the Karakoram Highway, which is part of the ancient Silk Route. Hunza Valley, an inspiration for James Hilton’s Shangri-La, was visited by Hilton a few years before “Lost Horizon” was published. The valley is renowned for its cherry blossom season, which arrives earlier than in other regions. The 1,000-year-old Altit Fort and the 800-year-old Baltit Fort offer commanding views of the valley. The valley is encircled by mountains, with the majestic Rakaposhi, the 27th highest mountain, across the Hunza River. Nearby is Spantik Peak, also known as Golden Peak, while behind Karimabad are the Hunza Peaks, Ultar 1 & 2, and Lady Finger Peaks.
