Thank you for a nice day. - We spent a lovely day with Quim and a nice driver. I’m sorry I forgot her name. My 20 year old son and I were in a group with one other traveler from the states. Instructions and pre-tour communication was very straightforward. The day was spent following the itinerary listed. The weather was warm and the hike was a bit tough in some parts but completely manageable. We had an excellent lunch with nice portions. We were picked up and dropped off at the bottom on the cathedral steps. My son and I both enjoyed the day.

Visit to Medieval villages and the Garroxta Volcanos - We loved this tour with Pere, who was very knowledgeable about the Catalan region and the history of the villages. We enjoyed the walk to the dormant volcano and the traditional Catalan lunch.

Consistent attention to detail with each tours - My husband and I did several tours with Girona Experience (via Journee Trips) and highly recommend this tour company. We found them to be very knowledgeable about the sites we visited and genuinely interested in each person in our group. The vans were very comfortable and accommodated us well.

An excellent small gropp... - An excellent small group tour. With the relatively small car we could get into the heart of the sights. Very colourful program, small towns from the middle ages, landscape, excellent place provided for lunch.

Highly recommend Xavi and the nice variety on offer - Xavi was friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us a great tour! The day had a nice variety of medieval towns, cathedrals, history and walks up into a volcanic caldera and by the lake. Carmen was a great driver and also very friendly. The countryside was beautiful and I definitely recommend this tour.

Loved this tour - We had a wonderful time. We visited several places, all of which were unique and beautiful. Our guides, Julia and Alex, were fantastic. They were knowledgeable, provided a safe & fun experience, and we never felt rushed to move on to the next thing. The trip included a variety of activities - hiking, walking through the medieval towns, learning a lot about the area's history & culture, eating local food, opportunities to shop (if desired), and relaxing by a beautiful lake. The trip does involve a lot of walking & it's not all on flat ground so that's something to keep in mind when considering if it's right for you.

Perfect Day Out - A great experience visiting the small picturesque medieval towns - Besalu, Santa Pau, Castellfollit De La Roca - hiking up a volcano and having a 4 course lunch, and to finish off, a short stroll along the Banyoles lake. The towns were what I was most looking forward to and they surely did not disappoint! What a stunning part of the country steeped in so much history! Our guide Pete did not stutter in telling us all about the history here, he was perfect, charismatic, funny, and very passionate about the historical and present day Catalonia! If ever we are back in Girona this company will be first choice for exploring! Save the Castle! Thanks for a great day Pete! Ailsa & Christian

Great day trip - Having a capable driver as well as capable guide made for an enjoyable excursion. My husband and I especially liked that there were only five of us on the tour which made it easy to enjoy the company of the three other travelers.
