Pyramids of Giza - Guests will be picked up from their hotel at 03:00 in Hurghada and taken to Hurghada airport for a flight to Cairo. The flight departs at 05:00 and arrives in Cairo at 06:00. Upon arrival, a driver will take them on an exciting excursion to The Pyramids of Giza, followed by a visit to the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple.
Giza Pyramid Complex:
The complex features three main pyramids, six smaller pyramids, the Great Sphinx, and the Valley Temple. This site dates back to the 4th dynasty, around 2400 B.C.
The Great Pyramid:
This is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids on the Giza plateau and the only one remaining intact from the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World. The Great Pyramid stands at 147 meters tall, was constructed with 2,300,000 stones, and took twenty years to complete.
The Great Sphinx:
This is the largest statue in the world, measuring 73 meters long, 19 meters wide, and 20 meters high. It is the oldest known monumental sculpture.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Giza.
Grand Egyptian Museum - The Grand Egyptian Museum is a monumental, state-of-the-art archaeological museum located on the Giza Plateau, just two kilometers from the Pyramids.
It is the largest museum in the world dedicated to a single civilization, Ancient Egypt, and is designed to house over 100,000 artifacts.
Its most famous feature is the first-ever complete display of the entire King Tutankhamun collection—over 5,000 treasures—together for the first time since their discovery. Other highlights include the colossal Statue of Ramses II in the Grand Atrium and the magnificent Grand Staircase lined with large-scale royal and divine statues.
The museum’s modern architecture features a stunning translucent façade and offers panoramic views of the Giza Pyramids, connecting its contents directly to their ancient setting.
Old Cairo-back to Hurghada
Cairo Citadel - After breakfast, guests will check out and join their private tour guide to visit Cairo Highlights including:
Salah el-Din Citadel:
This magnificent fortress served as Egypt’s seat of government until the 1860s. It was constructed during the reign of Salah ad-Din, with construction beginning in 1176 and completed in 1182. Then, guests will visit the
Mohamed Ali Mosque:
Constructed between 1830 and 1848, the mosque is known as “The Alabaster Mosque” because most of its walls are made of pure alabaster. The mosque is a replica of the Blue Mosque in Istanbul and was designed by Turkish architect Yousif Boushnaq, who traveled from Istanbul to Cairo specifically to build this great structure. The mosque’s alabaster structure beautifully contrasts with the sandstone city.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
Coptic Cairo - Guests will then visit major attractions such as the Hanging Church, the Ben Ezra Synagogue, the Church of St. Barbara, and the Church of Abu Serga, one of the oldest Coptic churches in Cairo.
Bazaar Khan El-Khalili - The tour continues to the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, one of the oldest bazaars in the Middle East. Guests can explore a maze of alleys that have been central to Cairo’s trading activities since the 14th century. Afterward, they will be transferred to Cairo airport for a flight back to Hurghada and then to their hotel.
