Begin the day with an early morning departure to Siwa Oasis in a private limousine. Siwa is the largest and most remote Egyptian oasis, home to 23,000 residents and situated 17 meters below sea level. Travel through the Western Desert, stopping at the Al Alamein World War II Museum, then proceed to Marsa Matrouh on the Mediterranean Sea for a delightful lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, continue to Siwa Oasis, arriving in the afternoon for an overnight stay at a hotel. -
Bahrya Oasis - Day 2: Explore Siwa’s Local Attractions
After breakfast, start the tour with a visit to Shali Old Town. Some buildings are still in use, but due to their construction from salt, mud, and plaster, they gradually deteriorate. Next, visit the Siwa Museum, housed in a traditional Siwan home, showcasing traditional Siwan items such as silver jewelry, musical instruments, wedding costumes, baskets, and ceramics. Then, proceed to the Amoun Temple (Om Obayda) from the 30th dynasty and the Oracle Temple. Visit Cleopatra Spring and enjoy lunch at a local café beside the water spring. Spend the afternoon at Bir Wahed, located 12 km southwest of Siwa, featuring a hot and cold spring at the edge of the Great Sand Sea.
