• The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - The National Egyptian Museum, established in 1901, is one of the oldest and most significant museums globally. • Coptic Cairo - Old Cairo, or Coptic Cairo, is a section of Old Cairo that includes the Babylon Fortress, the Hanging Church, the Greek Church of St. George, and many other Coptic churches and historical sites. Christian tradition holds that the Holy Family visited this area and stayed at the site of Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church (Abu Serga). Coptic Cairo was a stronghold for Christianity in Egypt until the Islamic era, although most current church buildings in Coptic Cairo were constructed after the Muslim conquest of Egypt in the 7th century.
