Begin the tour at the Giza pyramids. Upon arrival, start with the Great Pyramid, one of the ancient Seven Wonders, commissioned by King Cheops. It stands 146 meters tall, covers 1,000 square meters, and consists of over 2.4 million stones weighing seven million tons. Enjoy a walk around, then drive to the panoramic view to see all the pyramids aligned, offering a perfect opportunity for memorable photos. While driving to the Great Sphinx, stop in front of the Pyramid of Chefren, which is 139 meters high, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, which is 66 meters high. Experience the majesty of standing before the Great Sphinx, with the body of a lion and the head of a man, located behind the Valley Temple of the second pyramid.
- The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - The National Egyptian Museum, established in 1901, is one of the oldest and most significant museums globally. It reflects ancient Egyptian history from the pre-history period to the Greek-Roman period, housing 120,000 antiquities. Currently, it holds the world’s most important treasure, the tomb of Tutankhamun, discovered in 1922 by Howard Carter in the Valley of the Kings. The treasure collection includes over 3,500 masterpieces of antiquities.
- Coptic Cairo - Old Cairo, or Coptic Cairo, is a section of Old Cairo that includes the Babylon Fortress, the Hanging Church, the Greek Church of St. George, and many other Coptic churches and historical sites. Christian tradition holds that the Holy Family visited this area and stayed at the site of Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church (Abu Serga). Coptic Cairo was a stronghold for Christianity in Egypt until the Islamic era, although most current church buildings in Coptic Cairo were constructed after the Muslim conquest of Egypt in the 7th century.
The tour will highlight the area’s key sites:
- Hanging Church
- Saint Sergius (Abu Serga), known as the Holy Crypt Church
- Ben Ezra Synagogue
- Khan Al-Khalili - Khan El-Khalili Bazaar is a major market in the historic center of Islamic Cairo. The bazaar district is a primary attraction for both tourists and Egyptians.
After finishing, return to the starting point.
