Embark on a half-day tour visiting the Giza Pyramids, where you will explore the Great Pyramids - Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos.
• Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Khufu’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, now buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman. Although diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, the site remains unexcavated. The valley temple was linked to a causeway, which was mostly destroyed during the village’s construction.
• Pyramid of Khafre - Khafre’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple revealed several statues of Khafre, with many discovered in a well on the temple floor by Mariette in 1860.
• Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex comprises a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also uncovered several statues of Menkaure.
• Great Sphinx - The Valley Temple, where priests mummified King Chephren’s body, offers a close-up view of The Sphinx. This legendary guardian stands by the vast funeral complex with its lion body and the head of King Chephren. It’s an ideal spot for capturing amazing photos with the Sphinx in various amusing poses, with guidance from our tour guide.
