- Pyramids of Giza - The Pyramids of Giza are a group of three ancient Egyptian pyramids situated in Giza, Egypt. Constructed over 4,500 years ago, they served as tombs for pharaohs. The largest, the Great Pyramid, is recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Composed of millions of limestone blocks, it reaches a height of 146 meters. The other two pyramids, though slightly smaller, are equally impressive. The Pyramids of Giza remain a major tourist attraction and a symbol of ancient Egyptian civilization. The visit begins with a stop at the panoramic view to enjoy the scenery and includes a camel ride.
- Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - This is one of the ancient Seven Wonders that still exists, dating back to 2551 BC for King Cheops. Visitors can get very close to the pyramid and touch the stones, which number 2,500,000.
- Khafre’s Pyramid - The second largest pyramid in Giza, built for the Fourth Dynasty in 2558 BC, still retains cladding at the top. It is located near the third pyramid, built for King Menkaure, the smallest pyramid in Giza.
- Valley Temple of Khafre - Khafre’s temple complex is in much better condition, where bodies were mummified inside. It is connected to the Khafre ritual temple by a causeway made of limestone and adorned with granite.
- Great Sphinx - Carved from a single piece of limestone, it is the largest and oldest sphinx, located in front of the pyramids and facing east.
- Koshary Hekaya - The iconic Egyptian dish, koshary, means “mixture” because it is made of pasta, macaroni, rice, lentils, tomato soup, garlic, and onion. It’s a great opportunity to engage with locals.
