Cairo by car - The sights and the transfer of knowledge was great. Pyramids, museum were very nice.Otherwise, only trying to sell things (oil, papyrus, Nile ride ..). If you didn't want anything, the sellers became unfriendly. The car was also very worn and the seats tlw. Defect. Too bad...the other Azs flights were significantly better.

Our Cairo day tour from Marsa Alam did not match the description: Some of the agreed stops were not visited, instead there were unnecessary sales stops, conflicting entrance fees, an inadequate German speaking guide and a very long and risky journey with only one driver. A refund was refused. The provider does not show any customer orientation.

We booked a Cairo day tour from Marsa Alam for two people (Pyramids of Giza, Sphinx, Grand Egyptian Museum and Muhammed Ali Mosque). The total price was 320 USD, allegedly only entrance fees and tips were to be paid in addition. In advance, we were assured air-conditioned transfer, hotel pickup, a guide in our language, drinks during the journey and lunch. There were also significant safety deficiencies. However, the actual service provided differed from the description. The Muhammed Ali Mosque, which the program said should be part of the tour, was not visited at all. Instead, several unscheduled stops were made at souvenir, papyrus and spice shops, which were apparently for sale only. We were partially dropped off there without prior consent and urged to buy. The price information on tickets was also contradictory and misleading. Initially quoted were 50 USD per person, later 70 USD. After that, we agreed on an amount of 5,000 Egyptian pounds (about 106 USD). On the spot, the driver finally demanded 140 EU and did not want to know about the agreement. The exchange rate should be taken into account, 140 EUR is significantly more than 140 USD. However, we only paid the 5,000 EGP. At the same time, the provider claimed that tickets might not be available locally – which was simply not true. The official box offices were open and tickets were sold without any problems. They just wanted to make a profit on the sale. The German-speaking tour guide also did not match the assured quality. His knowledge of German was very limited, explanations of the sights were minimal, and we were hardly guided in the museum. Instead, he spoke frequently on the phone and constantly urged us to rush. He was not a (good) Egyptologist, anyway. Another criticism concerns the organization and safety of the trip. The entire route (about 22 hours of driving time) was driven by only one driver. The collection was also delayed for over 20 minutes without prior information. There were very few breaks on the long drive. Conditions in the vehicle were also unpleasant: The air conditioning was running at maximum cold all the time, even at night in low outside temperatures, and requests for adjustment were ignored. Due to the delayed departure and the unarranged sales stops, there was significantly less time for the actual sights. Some programme items have been shortened, others not carried out at all. We have repeatedly complained about these issues to the provider and requested a refund. However, a refund was completely refused, although parts of the booked service were not provided. Overall, the tour unfortunately does not match the advertised description and has safety deficiencies. Due to the misleading pricing, poor organisation and lack of goodwill in dealing with complaints, we cannot recommend this provider.
