Perfect for solo female traveller - For all solo female travelers our there, this is the perfect tour! I was in Cairo for work but really wanted to see the pyramids and read sooo many mixed reviews about going alone. Finally, late at night I came across Bastet tours contact info online and messaged to ask if I could have a female tour guide. They were able to confirm one straight away and make the arrangements for my tour for 9am the next morning! So, definitely full stars for speed and efficiency! My tour guide was Hanan and driver Ibrahim, and they were both great! Hanan was especially amazing! Has great knowledge about the pyramids, the history, culture etc. It definitely helps having a guide with you, enriches the entire experience. And not to forget, she took the BEST pictures! I'm normally someone who will take a few pictures of myself and more of the site, but she made sure I got more pictures of myself too! Another important important thing. I was confused about going to Saqqara because I thought Giza pyramids would be enough and Saqqara would feel like duplication and not worth the effort. However, I did go! And i'm SO glad I did. You don't go to Saqqara just for the pyramid, the entire complex is worth exploring ESPECIALLY the ancient carvings. And its less than an hour from Giza pyramids. Plus the beautiful palm trees and fields on a bit of the way make the drive worth it. Bonus point: We stopped at a local store to buy a Cartouche (egyptian pendant) and the owner let me have a look at their workshop, BUT omg, the views of Giza pyramid from the workshop were spectacular! I wish I'd had a DSLR. A totally different view, not of sand and desert but of palm trees and greenery! Overall, I am SO glad I opted to go for this tour. Communication was in English and very clear, and Hanan just made the tour extra special and fun!

Competent and unobtrusive, fair in price - Hossam was the best guide you could imagine for Egyptian antiquities. He is competent and at the same time unobtrusive. He patiently explains everything you want to know. He was our guide for 3 days and accompanied us to all the sights in Cairo that we wanted to see. I can only highly recommend Hossam.

Solo traveler - Hossam is an awesome guidance. Showed me everywhere I want to go. Also he is very knowledgeable and speaks good English. Took good pictures as well. Would recommend for first time comers, he will give you worry-free trips.

Incredible Experience! - I can’t say enough good things about Hossam and our experience in Cairo! My mom and I were in the city for a wedding but wanted to do some site seeing as it was our first time in Egypt. We told Hossam a few of things that we wanted to see, leaving plenty of time for his recommendations and it was truly incredible. He brought us to many of the famous sites (Giza/Egyptian Museum/etc) and made the visits so enjoyable. Not only did he give you a history lesson and provide context for what it is that you were seeing, he chose the best of the sites to see to help us avoid crowds. Some of my favorite things, however, were the incredible stores he brought us to. We got to go to a rug school to learn how traditional Egyptian rugs are made, we went to a spice shop (my personal favorite), and so much more! Hossam did a great job of tailoring your experience to what you wanted. Many days we gave him a rough overview of what we wanted to see and he planned out a perfect itinerary. By the end of our stay in Cairo, Hossam truly felt like a friend! I can’t begin to recommend him enough. A guided experience through Cairo is truly the best way to see the sites. (For reference, when traveling, we typically don’t use a guide as we prefer to explore on our own. However, in Cairo, a guide is truly the way to go. Not only is the experience more enriching that way, you will find it to be more enjoyable as well)

Great Tour in Egypt - This was a great tour! I highly recommend to everyone. Hossam was our guide and we loved the tour. We were able to see Sakkara, the Pyramids, Sphinx, go on a camel ride (costs extra), & see how rugs and papyrus paper are handmade. The lunch was also good.
