The pyramid is known as the Layer Pyramid. Huni was the father of Queen Hetepheres I, the wife of Sneferu, who succeeded him as the first king of the Fourth Dynasty.
• Pyramids of Dahshour - The tour guide will lead a guided tour to the early Fourth Dynasty cemetery, where the White Pyramid was built by King Sneferu, father of King Cheops, around 2600 BC. Visitors can explore without extra charges. The White Pyramid is the only pyramid in Egypt with its outer casing still intact, made of fine limestone.
  • The Red Pyramid of King Sneferu was constructed as the first true pyramid, and visitors can explore its interior without extra charge.
  • The small pyramid behind the White Pyramid was built as a subsidiary pyramid to house the king’s organs, and visitors can explore its interior without any extra charge.
