- Giza - Embark on an extraordinary journey to explore an Egyptian governmental shopping market.
An expert guide will collect visitors from their accommodation and head to the Egyptian market, sharing captivating insights into ancient Egyptian history.
The first stop will be at a Papyrus institute, where visitors can learn how ancient Egyptians were the pioneers in paper manufacturing (not the Chinese), using the stem of fresh papyrus plants, which still grow along the Nile River. They will see the primitive method of drying it in a compressor until it becomes strong papyrus rolls. Additionally, visitors will discover how ancient Egyptians used mineral stones like carbon, malachite, hematite, lapis lazuli, and turquoise to create colors that have lasted for thousands of years, similar to those in the Egyptian museum.
Egyptian Papyrus papers are a unique part of Egyptian culture, found nowhere else but in Egypt.
- Giza - Next, visitors will explore a governmental factory of pure essential aromatherapy oils, learning how Ancient Egyptians used these oils for medicinal purposes and aromatherapy, with an opportunity to try them.
Recently, the Egyptian government discovered a large papyrus with numerous recipes and formulas in Hieroglyphic language, detailing how different plants and flowers were squeezed to obtain pure oils for healing various ailments. Some oils were used for high or low blood pressure, back or bone pain, flu, facial masks, hair growth, massage, and more. Visitors will have the chance to smell and try all of them.
In the same location, there is a workshop for crafting Pyrex glasses using fire, all handmade, and visitors can see how they are colored.
- Giza - Visit a governmental gold souk or bazaar, featuring a vast collection of ancient golden amulets (18 Carat), silver amulets, and a wide array of Egyptian souvenirs. All prices are clearly labeled, ensuring a trusted governmental place with excellent quality and fair prices.
Egypt has been known as the land of gold since 3000 BC, and there are still many gold mines in Egypt, maintaining this ancient craftsmanship to this day.
At this stop, visitors will have the opportunity to visit one of the finest workshops for jewelry artifacts, where they can see how to write their name in Hieroglyphic language on a Cartouche (The Egyptian identity), a famous Egyptian souvenir. There is a vast collection of Egyptian golden amulets like scarabs, the key of life, Sphinx, the blue eye of God Horus, and many other golden or silver symbols in various styles and shapes, along with numerous other Egyptian souvenirs.
- Giza - Egyptian cotton is renowned worldwide, with cotton plants growing along both sides of the Nile River, and Egypt exports cotton products to various countries.
Visit an Egyptian cotton center, where all products are 100% Egyptian cotton, including bed sheets, towels, blankets, scarves, and various clothing for men and women.
At the end of the tour, visitors will enjoy a traditional Egyptian lunch of Falafel sandwiches before returning safely to their hotel.
