Extremely Dangerous and not as advertised! - The only reason that I would say this experience deserves a one star is because the driver was incredibly polite and helpful. If someone has no experience with ATVs, maybe they wouldn’t know the difference, but since I have been riding for over twenty years, I can quite confidently say that this tour was well below safety expectations and not at all what was advertised. The ATVs were all running on the street once we arrived, so I had no way of knowing that once cut off, the guide would have to lift the back of the ATV and run with it to get it started again. One of the leaders told me not to touch the foot shift because the ATV was automatic. It wasn’t an automatic, but I wasn’t going to argue with him because I realized that he wanted me to ride as though it was. Some people rode with guides on the front bars of their ATV, but since I had been riding before, we just had someone else leading us from another ATV. Unfortunately, this young man was a teenager. He dangerously drove between large groups of people on horseback riding tours (2 individuals fell off of their horses because of how closely he was riding to them). When I told him that my ATV had no functioning brakes, he replied “1,2” and motioned for me to pump the brakes to make them work. Since this was intermittent, and there were hundreds of horses and other groups on ATVs, it made the experience extremely dangerous for not only me and my family, but people on other tours. One of the leaders asked me if I had a problem when we got back because I was visibly upset and just wanted to argue with me when I told him how unsafe the whole thing was. It wasn’t advertised that the ATVs would not have functioning brakes, would lack functioning starters, would have bald tires, or that the group would be lead by a teenager unable to safely lead a group around large groups of animals. After the tour, someone from the company called (from Dubai) and offered to do whatever he could to make it right, but said that there was little that he could do. I reached out asking for a refund two days later (after getting home) and he has been unreachable since.
