- Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - The pyramid complex of Khufu includes a valley temple, currently buried under the village of Nazlet el-Samman. Although diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, the site remains unexcavated.
- Khafre’s Pyramid - The pyramid complex of Khafre features a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple has yielded several statues of Khafre, with many found in a well on the temple floor by Mariette in 1860.
- Menkaure Pyramid - The pyramid complex of Menkaure includes a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple.
- Great Sphinx - The Great Sphinx has fascinated travelers and explorers for thousands of years, even during ancient Egyptian times. In the 18th Dynasty (c.1550–1295 BC), it was regarded as a manifestation of the sun god and named Horemakhet “Horus in the Horizon”. King Amenhotep II (c.1427–1400 BC) constructed a temple next to the Sphinx, dedicated to this deity. His son, Thutmose IV (c.1400–1390 BC), placed a monumental stela between its front paws, known as the Dream Stela, which recounts a remarkable event.
