Day Tour to Giza Pyramids, Memphis, Sakkara, and Dahshour Pyramids
Pyramids of Giza - Explore the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Menkaure, along with the Mummification Temple and the iconic Great Sphinx.
Pyramids of Dahshour - Discover the renowned Red and Bent Pyramids, both towering over 100 meters. Enjoy complimentary access to the interior of the Red Pyramid.
Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Khufu’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, now beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman. Although diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been identified, the site remains unexcavated.
Khafre’s Pyramid - This complex features a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. Several statues of Khafre were discovered in the valley temple by Mariette in 1860.
Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s complex includes a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple housed several statues of Menkaure, and during the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added. The mortuary temple also contained several statues of Menkaure. The king’s pyramid, completed around 2510 BC, includes three subsidiary or queen’s pyramids.
Great Sphinx - Dating back to King Khafre’s reign, the Sphinx was later complemented by a temple dedicated to Hauron-Haremakhet by Amenhotep II, with subsequent additions by later rulers.
Giza Plateau - The Giza Plateau (Arabic: هضبة الجيزة) is located on the outskirts of Cairo, Egypt. It is home to the Fourth Dynasty Giza Necropolis, which includes the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, the Sphinx, several cemeteries, a workers’ village, and an industrial complex.
Step Pyramid of Djoser - The Pyramid of Djoser, also known as the Step Pyramid, is an archaeological site in the Saqqara necropolis, northwest of Memphis.
Memphis and Sakkara - Visit the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Menkaure, the Mummification Temple, and the Great Sphinx. In Memphis, see the reclining statue of King Ramses II, a single piece of limestone weighing 120 tons, the alabaster statue of the Sphinx weighing 80 tons, and other artifacts.
Pyramids of Dahshour - Explore the Dahshur Pyramids, part of the southern cemetery of Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt. The Old and Middle Kingdom kings built their pyramids here. Sneferu, the first king of the 4th Dynasty, attempted to construct his first pyramid on the rocky plateau of Dahshur to rival King Djoser’s pyramid in Saqqara but did not complete it.
At the conclusion of the tour, guests will be returned to their hotel.
Day Tour to Egyptian Museum, Citadel, and Khan Khalili Bazaar
The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - Begin with a hotel pickup for a full-day tour of the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. The museum showcases the world’s largest and most valuable collection of Egyptian art, featuring over 250,000 genuine artifacts dating back 5,000 years. Highlights include a special exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamun, featuring treasures, gold, and jewelry buried in his tomb for over 3,500 years until their discovery in the 1920s.
Cairo Citadel - Next, visit the Citadel of Saladin, where you can explore the Mohamed Ali Mosque, also known as the Alabaster Mosque. Its design is similar to the Blue Mosque in Turkey, though smaller in size.
Khan Al-Khalili - Conclude the tour with a visit to Khan El Khalili Bazaars, renowned for shops offering exquisite brassware, copper, perfumes, leather, silver, gold, antiques, and more.
At the end of the day, guests will be transferred back to Cairo International Airport.
Meals: Breakfast and lunch at a local restaurant.
Mosque of Muhammad Ali - The Great Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha, or Alabaster Mosque (Arabic: مسجد محمد علي; Turkish: Mehmet Ali Paşa Camii), is located within the Citadel.
