- Gjakova - The tour begins in the city of Gjakova, right in front of the historic Abdullah Pasha Dreni House, and proceeds through the Grand Bazaar. Along the way, participants will explore the Shejh Emini Tekke and continue through the historic Gjakova Grand Bazaar. At the Bazaar’s entrance, there is a traditional stone house showcasing typical 18th-century Albanian architecture. While at the Bazaar, there will be stops at several artisan shops to admire traditional Albanian handicrafts. The tour will then visit the iconic Hadum Mosque, built in the 16th century, which is considered the cultural, educational, and religious cornerstone of the city. The journey continues to Haraqia Restaurant for a coffee break. Following this, the City Clock Tower and the City’s Ethnographic Museum will be visited. The final stop in Gjakova includes St. Ndou’s and St. Pal’s & St. Peter’s Churches, en route to Valbona Valley.
- Valbona Valley - After exploring Gjakova, the tour proceeds to Valbona Valley in northern Albania. The drive from Gjakova to Valbona takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, offering breathtaking and serene views along the way. Upon arrival in Valbona, there will be a lunch break at a local restaurant, which serves fresh traditional dishes alongside contemporary options. Participants can enjoy a stroll by the stunning crystal-clear river that winds through the mountains, capturing photos, experiencing the untouched nature, and relishing the fresh air and waters. After a delightful time in Valbona, the tour returns to Gjakova, where participants will be dropped off at their hotels. This marks the conclusion of the full-day Culture, History & Adventure tour across two countries.
