Very Informative - During a recent stay in Glasgow we decided to go on the Glasgow Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus tour. This was the second time we had done this tour (last time about 5 years ago)' It was excellent and our tour guide's commentary was very informative and full of fascinating information. Thank you. I would definitely recommend this bus tour-it helps you understand more about Glasgow.

Great to see the main features of the city - We had been on the City Sightseeing Glasgow tour before, but that was about 15 years ago, so we thought we'd refresh our memories! The red route (the one that runs in the winter) covers a lot of points of interest in all parts of the city and we learned (or re-learned!) a lot of interesting facts. The commentary is recorded and you can pick up a pair of earphones on joining the tour - it is available in a wide range of languages. I have to say, however, that the first time we went on this trip years ago we had a live guide who was much better than the recorded version on buses nowadays. During the winter the buses are 30 minutes apart, so we just jumped off at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum the first day and, as we had bought the two-day ticket, the Riverside Transport Museum the second day. We had visited many of the other stops on previous visits to the city. Although we had been to these two museums before, we noticed new exhibits in both, this time.

Good Tour of Glasgow - Took a day trip to Glasgow and was pretty underwhelmed. Very commercial and not much else. We did the but tour before going home just to see as much as possible. We did the entire red route without getting off. There were a few interesting sights, some cool murals and the university is a gorgeous building. Other than that, It's really just a city. The tour itself was well-done, though, with optional earbuds providing commentary on the different locations in many different languages.

Not worth it - This was definitely not worth the cost. It wasn't always clear which building the recording was talking about and there was very little information given. I would have liked more historical background. There was also too much time just listening to random, annoying music.

No good as a hop-on hop-off service - No issue with the quality of the bus tour itself BUT if you are planning to use it to hop on and off , bear in mind that it seems to come round once in a blue moon and that the timetable offered seemed fiction. In the light of that it turned out rather pricey as we were unable to complete our tour.
