If you are in Glasgow and you have a couple of hours spare visit the national stadium Hamden Park, you won't regret it. - A fantastic day. We got to the ground early to park, met the guide as we were early he directed us to the museum until the tour started on the hour. The museum is a must for any football fan and we were like kids in a sweetshop, I am a Celtic fan and Bristol City and remebers Bristol Citys only silverware in my lifetime was against St Mirren in 1977 some shouty bloke called Ferguson managed them , before going to Aberdeen not sure what happened to him after that. Seriously I really appreciate the depth of excellence inbedded in Scottish football, top players dont always start with Celtic and Rangers. Teams like Aberdeen Hibs, Dundee Hearts have all competed. Its teams like Clyde, Irvine Forfar , Super Cally , Partic and all those other teams I remember watching on the TV after watching Wrestling wiith my folks. Anywayand by 2pm ,
we caught up with the tour Guide Mr Tom Kelly and he is more passionate and knowledgeable about football particularly Scottish Football and knows every thing there to know about Hamden Park,

Fantastic tour round an iconic stadium - Fascinating tour around an iconic football stadium. Or guide, Tom, was knowledgeable and a great storyteller who kept everyone's attention throughout. His passion for the subject of Scottish football really shone through.
The tour itself took us through various areas of the stadium which supporters don't normally get to see, such as dressing rooms and interview areas. The highlight was getting to come out of the tunnel and stand by the pitch itself, as if we were about to play a cup final.
Great fun

Great stadium, even better tour guide - My two boys and myself love to go do stadium tours and we hadn’t yet done this one so decided to get booked. Was very reasonable pricing compared to other stadiums visited and also has access to the museum so very good value for money. Our tour guide was absolutely amazing and made the tour even more enjoyable. If you ever get the guide Tom Kelly then you are in for a great time. Very knowledgeable about not only the stadium but football in general. So much passion for football it is admirable.
Would totally recommend to not only people wanting to visit stadiums but to anyone who has kids off school. Take them along and see our national stadium and enjoy the stories from the guides.

Take the Tour! - My wife and I have enjoyed visits to a number football museums around Europe. Bizarrely we had not been to the museum in our own home city. We recently decided to right that wrong.
The museum is extensive and has a wide range of interesting and unusual artefacts. We could have spent an entire day there and still not seen it all. It is worth a visit on its own - and we will be back to visit again.
However, what was a game changer for us was taking the guided tour. Lots of football museums don’t seem to have this option. Hampden has an excellent service.
Our guide, Calum, was both well informed and at times very funny. He was able to add value to the visit for our entire group, because before we began he checked which team everyone supported. He then tailored his talk to include stories and anecdotes about those teams where that was possible.
He took us into parts of the stadium that are not always open to the public. His stories covered other uses of the stadium, including concerts, which made things more interesing.
The tour probably lasted more than an hour and gave plenty of opportunities to ask questions and almost invariably have those questions answered.
At the end of the tour we could access the museum and also the associated cafe - very good coffee and cake!
If you have a chance I would definitely say that this is a well worthwhile visit.

Great tour and museum - Great tour of the stadium, took my 11 years old boy.
The football and stadium knowledge of our guide was first class.
The museum was brilliant with some great items. I could have spent a lot longer here but unfortunately we had to be elsewhere.
Would definitely recommend.
