Worthwhile - One of the highlights of our trip. Alison is a deeply thoughtful and insightful guide—knowledgeable, reflective, and genuinely passionate about Glasgow’s history, culture, and architecture. Her storytelling added real depth and meaning, helping us truly understand the city rather than just see it. This wasn’t a surface-level tour. Alison provided nuance, context, and perspective, and welcomed questions throughout. It felt intelligent, humane, and engaging from start to finish. A special shout-out to Gordon, the owner, who was genuinely funny and an absolute riot 😄 His humor added warmth and levity, perfectly balancing the tour. Well paced, well planned, and memorable. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Glasgow—informative, thoughtful, and fun.

Enjoyable and entertaining - Enjoyed the walking tour with our guide - IAN However - it was cheaper just to pay Ian - as opposed to paying Trip Advisor Maybe more walking would have been better

Two hours very well spent - Very informative and entertaining tour with Gordon - great storytelling with historical facts woven through that really helped us gain a deeper appreciation of Glasgow through the millennia. One point to note is the group size was big - the description said maximum of 12 participants but our group had about 30+, which can make it hard to stand / hear the guide if you’re not standing in the right place. We still enjoyed the tour very much despite this, but it would be good to amend the description to manage expectations.

Couldn’t ask tor better - Gordon Hart was very friendly, funny and knowledgeable around the city. He kept us excited and it was very fun. That is my first experience to book a walking to Guide and I don’t regret a bit.

Wonderful Experience - Ian was an excellent guide, incredible storyteller, and true gem. We learned so much on this tour and thoroughly enjoyed the experience despite the rain (to be expected in Nov). We would absolutely recommend this tour as a first activity to get acclimated to the city and its history, thank you Ian!

Great introduction into Glasgow - Great whistle stop introduction into Glasgow by an engaging guide. Luke spoke loudly and clearly, told interesting, informative as well as some poignant stories from Glasgow's past. One awkward thing was that the guide referred to voluntary payment at the start and the end of the tour. As I have already paid via Viator we just walked off but wondering if he was aware of this and was getting paid, I hope he was.

Great guide, lots of history and local recommendations. - Excellent local guide with a sense of humor as well as history. The tour centers on Merchant Square and historic buildings nearby so it does not cover a huge area but it was a great way to orient ourselves to Glasgow before heading out to explore on our own.
