Interesting tour of Glebe - Ned’s exciting and informative tour of Glebe was a really great experience. My jaw dropped at some of the interesting facts right at my door step. I can’t wait to share some of what I learned with friends when they visit. The walking was nicely paced with frequent stops. Ned allowed me to bring my small dog (I did ask in advance) which was a treat for him too!

- Ned is a terrific tour guide. He's so knowledgeable about the history of the SYD. I've moved here within the past year from overseas. I love learning about the richness of my new home - Glebe. We took in quite a bite of neighborhoods I'd not seen before. Ned has a wealth of knowledge and readily answered questions from the group. We were all enthralled. Looking forward to taking visiting guests on this tour - and to exploring more of Sydney with Real History Walking Tours!

The very rich history of Glebe - We really enjoyed the Historic Walking Tour of Glebe with our guide Ned Dickson. He was very enthusiastic and knew a lot about the area. He told great stories and made the walk really interesting. One of the highlights was hearing about Toxteth Park, the big old house built in 1829 for George Allen. Ned explained how it changed over time and shared some nice details about the family who lived there. He also told us about the history of the Glebe Library site, where children were buried after a disease outbreak — very sad but important to know. We also learned about some of the local churches, like St James (a rare Catholic church in the area) and St John’s. Another part that stood out was the story of Bidura, where children were kept in very bad conditions in the past. And we stopped at the old Valhalla, which used to be a a cinema but has turned into apartments. Overall, it was a very interesting and thoughtful tour. Ned made the history come alive with his stories. We saw Glebe in a new way. Definitely recommended!

We will definitely be attending the Watson's bay tour when we are in Sydney next. Definitely recommend attending a tour!
