Fabulous day regardless of the weather! - Karen was a vibrant and enthusiastic guide throughout our trip! The wealth of knowledge and love for Australia was evident at all attractions. The walks were well paced for all and alternative options were provided when necessary. I would thoroughly recommend this trip to any group.

Comfortable and eye-opening tour of the Blue Mountains and more - We were well taken cared of from the moment we stepped onto the coach. Our guide, Jakob was friendly, funny, and informative. I loved all the historical background he shared with us along the tour. We had time to explore every stop. Jakob’s recommendation for the kangaroo pie at Leura is a must. Yummy!

A great day - The tour was a nice mix of scenic views of the blue mountains and the sunset ferry ride back into Sydney. We fed kangaroos and took pictures with the Koalas and still had 1.5 hours to explore the rest of Sydney Zoo. Our guide, Piotr, was funny and informative and kept the group on track to fit everything in.

The weather was the winner unfortunately - Meeting was in central Sydney nice and straight forward , be aware there are multiple different travel companies using the same pick up so be patient loads of busses and mini busses turned up but it still worked well ( That was easy) it’s then an hr plus drive out of town and up the mountains unfortunately this time of year is there winter so we came prepared for rain and the cold and the weather did not disappoint in that it hammered down all day , the higher we went the colder wetter it got and then the visibility dropped to less than 100 metres at times Given this is a sight seeing trip not the best of conditions Unfortunately it didn’t get any better all day , every location we visited the view was just a white cloud , we descended the mountain to head to the Sydney zoo to see some native animals , just our luck that part of the zoo was closed off for running repairs ( not trip organisers fault ) so in the rain we could see tigers , lions etc but no kangaroos /wombats/ platipus etc Luckily Koala photos were still open !! Then we were bound for the Olympic park for a gentle cruise down the river past the opera house , to top our day though our coach broke down so we missed all that as well There was a 3hr delay for a pick up so we called it , jumped in an uber to nearest train station and headed home I gave it. 3/5 as some of this is clearly outside the trip organisers control but from an experience for us it was more like a 1 out of 5 as well could see anything I’m sure in summer though it’s stunning 😂🌞

An unfortunate series of events - I am sure that on a good day this is a great tour, with plenty to see and do. However on the day I went we had a bad experience and Viatour has not responded well to my concerns about this trip and have refused to give me a refund. We were put in a group of 55 people instead of the maximum of 24 stated in the booking. We were transported in an old, uncomfortable bus with no discernible air conditioning or heating. As a consequence the windows were steamed up all day, so it was not possible to see any of the views. The weather was awful, with such poor visibility that we didn’t even go to one of the lookouts and the others were in the clouds, so we couldn’t see anything. Sydney Zoo was only half open due to refurbishments, so there was not an opportunity to feed kangaroos and wallabies. The bus broke down while we were at the zoo, causing a delay of 90 minutes meaning that our “scenic ferry ride” took place in the dark, so once again, there was nothing to see. I have contacted Viatour to seek a refund but I have only received what appear to be AI generated responses which have not addressed any of my concerns.
