If selecting this spot, kindly wait in the car park outside the ticket office at Moreton-in-Marsh railway station. The tour officially begins here at 9:30 AM.
- Tetbury - Following a delightful 45-minute journey from Moreton-in-Marsh, we reach the Southern Cotswold market town of Tetbury, a stunning and historic must-visit destination. Tetbury’s charming streets, including the picturesque ‘Chipping Steps,’ are home to numerous independent shops, cafes, tea rooms, and especially antique shops! Enthusiasts of the British Royal Family will be thrilled to know that King Charles and Queen Camilla reside at Tetbury’s Highgrove Estate, where a shop offers royal souvenirs!
- The Royal Crescent - After a pleasant 45-minute drive from Tetbury, we arrive in the beautiful city of Bath. Our first stop is a quick photo opportunity at the stunning Royal Crescent, renowned as the finest example of Georgian architecture in the country! Fans of Jane Austen and Bridgerton will be excited to know that The Royal Crescent is a popular filming location for Georgian period TV and films.
- Bath - A short 15-minute journey from The Royal Crescent brings us to the heart of Bath, a breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage Site! Enjoy approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes of free time to explore with the maps provided. While it’s impossible to see everything Bath offers, the famous Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, and the Jane Austen Centre are top attractions for many visitors! Don’t forget to shop for souvenirs and enjoy a delicious lunch!
- Castle Combe - Departing Bath, a 35-minute drive takes us to our final stop: the picturesque village of Castle Combe, often voted “the prettiest village in England.” Capture those Instagram-worthy photos on the charming bridge, but be sure to take in the view with your own eyes too! A stroll through the tiny village of Castle Combe feels like stepping back in time.
- Moreton-in-Marsh - The journey from Castle Combe back to Moreton-in-Marsh station takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes, so sit back, relax, and enjoy the beautiful Cotswolds countryside as it passes by. We aim to return to Moreton-in-Marsh by approximately 6:00 PM.
- Stratford-upon-Avon - A final 30-minute drive brings us back to Stratford-upon-Avon, where we bid farewell to our remaining passengers. The drop-off time here is around 6:30 PM. We hope you had a fantastic day exploring Bath and the Southern Cotswolds with us!

Join this intimate group tour and embark on an adventure through the untamed and less populated southern Cotswolds. Enjoy the scenic countryside, explore the ‘royal’ town of Tetbury, and travel back in time in the charming village of Castle Combe. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the remarkable World Heritage City of Bath!
The tour begins with guest pick-up from Stratford-upon-Avon at 08:50 or Moreton-in-Marsh at 09:30, followed by a journey to Tetbury. This charming and quintessentially Cotswold market town is celebrated for its picturesque streets, historic market hall, and excellent shopping, particularly for antique enthusiasts. King Charles III resides at the nearby Highgrove Estate!
After Tetbury, the tour continues to the UNESCO World Heritage City of Bath. A brief photo stop will be made at the iconic Royal Crescent before guests are dropped off in the heart of Bath for 2 hours and 45 minutes of free exploration time, complete with provided maps. Be sure to grab a quick lunch to maximize your sightseeing!
The final stop is the enchanting Castle Combe, often hailed as the “prettiest village in England.”
- There are two pick-up points for this tour: Shakespeare’s Birthplace Coach Terminal, Stratford-upon-Avon – Departure at 08:50; Moreton-in-Marsh Rail Station – Departure at 09:30. Please note your ticket may display the tour start time as 08:50, regardless of your chosen pick-up location. However, if you selected Moreton-in-Marsh, your actual departure time is 09:30. Kindly arrive at least 5 minutes before your scheduled departure.
- Look out for our friendly guide in Go Cotswolds uniform, driving a large white minibus with green and purple Go Cotswolds branding—you won’t miss us!
- Double-check your selected pick-up point. Occasionally, we don’t stop at both, so arriving at the wrong location could result in being left behind. To change your pick-up point, please log in to your account to update your booking. Need help choosing the best option? Contact us!
- If you are arriving in Moreton-in-Marsh by train, the train arriving at approximately 09:17–09:20 is ideal. It’s a small station, and it’s just a 1–2 minute walk to the car park where your guide will meet you.
- If you are arriving in Stratford-upon-Avon by train, note that our pick-up point is a 5–10 minute walk from the station. Please note that on Sundays, there are no trains arriving before the tour departs.
- Uber and similar services are not widely available in the Cotswolds, and local taxis can be difficult to book last minute. We strongly recommend booking taxis in advance or using public transport where possible.
- If you’re not at your pick-up point on time (08:50 in Stratford-upon-Avon, 09:30 in Moreton-in-Marsh) and we can’t contact you, the tour will depart without you. Make sure we have your correct mobile number with international dial code before your tour.
- After the tour, please plan any onward travel as follows: from Moreton-in-Marsh: After 18:00; from Stratford-upon-Avon: After 18:30. Kindly note this return time is a little later than some of Go Cotswolds’ other tours!
- We have plenty of secure luggage space on board our vehicles, though please note our guides may not be able to assist with very heavy luggage
- Children aged 3–15 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Sorry, no children under 3.
