- Broadway Tower - This iconic landmark sits atop the beautiful Cotswolds escarpment. It was conceived by the renowned 18th-century landscape designer, “Capability Brown.” His vision was realized for George William, the 6th Earl of Coventry, with the assistance of the famous architect James Wyatt, and completed in 1798.
- Snowshill - A delightful village, discreetly nestled among the hills, is a must-visit on our tour. It is celebrated for its exceptional unspoiled beauty and the views over the valley. The charming English cottages are a vibrant mix of architectural features, bright colors, and delightful scents.
- Bourton-on-the-Water - Bourton-on-the-Water is a favored destination with the gently flowing River Windrush running through the village center, crossed by charming little bridges. There is much to explore in Bourton-on-the-Water, making it ideal for visitors of all ages, especially families. Visit Birdland Park and Gardens, home to a wide variety of exotic birds, including penguins, flamingos, macaws, emus, and birds of prey. Marvel at the incredible detail of the buildings in The Model Village, a 1/9th scale replica of the village center. The Cotswold Motoring Museum features seven unique galleries housing a collection of vintage cars, a fascinating toy collection, exhibitions, and the children’s TV favorite little car ‘Brum’.
- Bibury - If time permits, we’ll also visit Bibury, a charming village just a 20-minute drive from Bourton-on-the-Water. It’s easy to see why William Morris called Bibury ‘The most beautiful village in England’ – with its wonderful stone buildings lining the banks of the River Coln.
Arlington Row, owned by the National Trust, is one of England’s most iconic and photographed sites – it even appears on the inside cover of UK passports! Originally built in the 14th century as a monastic wool store, it was converted in the 17th century into a row of weavers’ cottages.
- Lower Slaughter - Lower Slaughter, with its slightly macabre name derived from the Old English for ‘muddy place,’ is linked by the tiny River Eye, a tributary to the River Windrush.
- Stow-on-the-Wold - At nearly 800ft, Stow is the highest of the Cotswold towns, situated on the Roman Fosse Way and at the junction of several roads, making it an important trading center. It has a rich history, likely originating from a prehistoric fortified settlement on the hill and held special significance during the English Civil War. The last battle was fought nearby in Donnington in 1646.
- Moreton-in-Marsh - At the conclusion of the tour, you will be dropped off at the starting point. Depending on road conditions, the journey may take 20 to 40 minutes.
