Piramides de Guimar - The Ethnographic Park and Botanical Garden Pirámides de Güímar is an open-air museum featuring six stepped pyramids aligned with the sun on significant astronomical dates. It offers several outdoor trails and specialized gardens across its expansive 64,000m2 area. The site includes the “Casa Chacona” Museum, an Auditorium, and four self-guided outdoor routes: the Botanical Route, the Cultural Route, the Export Products Route, and the Volcanic Route.
Visitors can explore the Poison Garden, the only one of its kind in Spain, the Sustainable Garden, the Tropicarium, and the exhibition “Colonizing Polynesia. Rapa Nui: Extreme Survival.” The park also features various ethnographic exhibitions, extensive garden areas, and a leisure area with a playground, cafeteria, craft shop, picnic areas, lockers, and guided tours available upon request. The park is fully accessible for individuals with reduced mobility, and an audio guide service is available at the reception desk.

As a prospect for the 2017 European Museum of the Year Award, the Botanical Garden & Ethnographic Park Pirámides de Güímar is a sprawling outdoor display that encompasses various trails and dedicated gardens centered around six pyramid-like features aligned with the sun during crucial astrological events.
The park’s premises, extending over 64,000m2, house the Casa Chacona Museum, the Auditorium, and four external trails (the Botanical Trail, the Exportations Trail, the Cultural Trail, and the Volcanic Trail). It also features the Poisonous Garden, the Sustainable Garden, as well as an exhibit named ‘Colonizing Polynesia. Rapa Nui: extreme survival ‘.
The site further offers a range of ethnographic shows, expansive gardens, picnic spots, a children’s play area, a café, and a store to enhance the visitors’ experience.
