She shared fascinating insights about the old Portuguese houses, so many details that I personally wasn’t aware of, which really brought the island’s history to life. Leane was also extremely knowledgeable about the tides and planned the boat ride perfectly for bird and crocodile spotting. Every detail was thoughtfully handled. Super way to spend an afternoon - Had an excellent experience at Divar with Leanne! Very thoughtfully curated at a beautiful site - and was great to learn about the centuries of history packed into this island. Leanne was a wonderful guide and host - her positive energy and engaging narration style enhanced the overall experience. Highly recommend!

Good value for money, vibes and history on this small island. - Leanne is the most sweet and warm guide we have met! Knowledgeable and bubbly - she made a difference. Key aspects: need to provide your own transportation ; not much walking ; boat-ride involved for approx 40 minutes; not many food options on this tour in terms of purchasing from shops/cafes. Admission fees all paid for, except the ferry ride. Tour size not big at all. This tour began with a ferry ride for approx. 10 minutes. Leanne attentively ensured all guests arrived together outside the Portuguese church and delved into a lovely ice-breaker intro activity. Her knowledge on the church and island is readily apparent. The tour then took us to some ancient ruins where we saw the vestiges of a bathing ground adjoining what is thought to be where a temple stood. Lots of fun facts to listen to here. The tour then took us on the highlight of the trip which was a boat ride with Amrut, a fourth-generation island-dweller who is superbly knowledgeable about mangroves and birds as well as ancient practices adopted by the population over times. Leanne then escorted us to a destination for sunset weddings for some light snacks and feni alcohol tasting.

Exciting and Varied Tour of Divar Island - Leanne was our host for the day. She was so welcoming and professional. We took the ferry to the island. An experience in itself. Our group of 10 bonded early on, due to Leanne's inclusive nature. She knew all of the history of the sites. A fascinating history to the temple site plus so much background to the history of the huge white elevated church. The untouched nature of the island was palpable. Agriculture as it was done back in the day. We then went on to a small boat trip at sundown which took us up close and personal to the mangroves. The captain explained the massive number of varieties to us. We were lucky enough to see 3 kingfishers, a flock of black ibis, herons, egrets, kites, fruit bats, and a large crocodile. The flowers on the mangroves were amazing too to see. We took the return trip in the little boat and then went to have snacks and a remi tasting session. So many different flavours to enjoy. Leanne described the botanicals to us clearly. We then took the night ferry back. A thoroughly exciting day full of new experiences.

A WONDERFUL WAY TO SEE THE REAL GOA! - I am SO thrilled I booked my tours with soul travelling. This was truly one of the most beautiful and authentic experiences I have ever had. From the moment we met her, Leanne made me feel completely comfortable, welcomed and at ease. Her warmth, knowledge and genuine passion for what she shares is so evident in every detail. Leanne was incredibly informative and accommodating, always taking the time to explain the history, the culture and the significance behind everything we saw and did. It never felt scripted – just natural, flowing and full of heart. I love how we were rushed . From the breathtaking church and temple ruins to the magical boat ride, every moment was fabulous. The views were stunning, the atmosphere was peaceful and enriching, and the entire journey felt like a privilege to be part of. This experience is for anyone who wants something real, meaningful and immersive. Soul travelling don’t just host experiences – they shares a piece of Goa with you, and that is what makes it so special. I would recommend this wholeheartedly to anyone seeking authenticity, beauty and connection.

Languid tour with excellent activitiez - Lovely experience. Did the local tourist spots with mangrove boat ride, local snacks n fenny tasting. The guide was knowledgeable n friendly.

Fun, feny and flora and fauna.. - Loved the whole experience of divar island tour with soul travelling. This was my 5th tour with them. And every time I feel so enriched. Amazing stories about the more then 200 years old church, the ruins of a worship place of the rulers from kadamba dinesty..the history is amazing and interesting. We had some chana bhaji with poi, some partis and cake..and lots of chatting with a local host, who owned the place. Most fantastic part was the boat ride. The boatman was very knowledgeable. Showed us the verity of mangroves which is there in Mandovi river..we could spot many birds like king fisher and e species of an eagle. The highlight was yet to come..the calm and quiet back waters has some crocodiles living in..and one 12 feet long beast was lying on the river bank..his wide open eyes steering at US..just few feets away.. Last we went to a local tavern for rent testing..never knew that the locally brewed feny had 10 different flavours..the owner gave us full details about how they distill the feny, can you imagine feny flavors like jeera, Ginger and coriander? They were fantastic. But all this experience was made memorable because of our lovely ambassador miss. Leanne. She is an adorable darling with proper knowledge about everything. A super host for us..kept us entertained throughout out the tour. Her ever smiling face and vibrant energy was unmatchable. We had a laughing riot. Towards the end of our tour when we were waiting at jetty..out car broke down..Leanne was already on the boat with her scooter. When she saw our car is not moving,she left her scooter on ferry and stayed back with us..she quickly called someone to ask what could be the problem? It was an automatic car which needs you to put you leg on break and then push the start button. And myself being new to this car was wondering why the car is not starting. Leanne told me twice..put your leg and then start..insaid I am doing that..but actually I was not.. eventually the car started..and we all boarded the ferry which came back from other side..her scooter was in that ferry. Good 40 minuites of delay due to my lack of knowledge. She was right their with us throughout the panich situation. Thank you so much Leanne for everything. We had a great time..you made it greatest. Value for money - It was a good experience. Leanne was well informed and was warm and friendly. Good information about often not mentioned sites and facts. The only thing I would suggest is for the length of tour, could have added one more site or activity.
